total hustler. Next he is going to share an audio recording of “his boss” yelling at him for offering $2k under MSRP! Ha.

and you know what man, I respect you more for it @cdq85 - you are wise to use this forum and the demand.

haha Well the good news is that I am the boss and control all pricing. It’s not even trying to get myself or store a sale .. I just know how hard it is for some people to get a truck in different states because shitty dealers exist. I been doing this a long time and just like trying to be that dealer that people like coming back to.

I've had two deals written up at MSRP, one for limited and one for a platinum here in AZ. They won't budge below... at least not yet.

ya, I was on the phone with several dealers who have what I want coming in around northern IL, they all want over MSRP still.

    no way.

the dealer I have in place is MSRP and will color match parts for me, but they don't have an allocation yet

crazy, when you used to be able to walk in and out with a new rig easy years ago

I'm in northern IL I got my 23 CM SR5 TRD from Ken Nelson in Dixon at MSRP. Elgin Toyota is advertising below MSRP but from what I understand it is a lie.

What makes those Tundras listed a little "funky" based on their builds or configurations?

The Limited's don't have a panoramic moonroof which everyone seems to want. The SR5's do not have an off-road package that all of my customers seem to want. Finally, the one 1794 has rich cream interior which everyone has passed on because they think it will get dirty. I'm not sure why the Mesquite 1794 hasn't sold as I think it's a really nice truck with great options.

I like everything about the Mesquite 1794 except for the exterior color. I'd prefer Silver or MGM.
    Couple questions:

Is the $2k off the price listed on your website or does the price on your website already have the $2k off included in it?
So is the Mesquite $64,405 or $62,405?
    https://guest.dealer.toyota.com/v-s...c02b765a463b75004225f3e217b8c7f549d6ba5223065

In regards to Taxes and Registration, Missouri requires this to be done in person after the sale of the vehicle. Meaning in Missouri you can't add taxes and registration at the dealer to your financing. You have to pay cash (check or CC) in person to get your license plates. That's a big check to write.

Side note, my dealer sells at MSRP, and I have bought 3 toyota vehicles from him in the recent past all at MSRP. He has a Silver Platinum coming in at $63,974. I haven't agreed to it yet but am thinking about it. At this $ range, I want what I want and don't plan to just take what's in the pipeline. I want tan leather interior and it looks like the only way to get that is with the 1794.

I'm still debating on a TRD OR version but haven't decided. I have TRD OR 4Runner with the electronic locking rear. I also have a Jeep Willys with the limited slip rear. Oddly I like the dumbed down limited slip better than the locker. I have wheeled with a number of Tacoma Sports with limited slip rears. None have had any problems.

$4,000 in 1968 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $34,219.66 today, an increase of $30,219.66 over 54 years.

Correct, your sale price would be 62,405. The delivery charge and port installed options are a charge from Toyota (not a dealership). And I’m not certain on how it would work for the state of Missouri. I’ve been at my dealership for 10 years and don’t think I’ve ever worked a deal for that state lol

Passed on a vehicle that was pretty much to my liking except it wasn't a TRD.

Blueprint, hybrid, pano roof, platinum edition, 14" display, black leather with blue stitching, $69,xxx @ MSRP. Know I'll be kicking myself for not waiting for the TRD so that's what I shall do.

Was able to snag a 1794 for under MSRP by 900 so the dealer could move it before end of year. So yeah it seems like it's not as crazy. I did have to go out of state to buy it though.

I did it last week in Massachusetts. WCP platinum hybrid. In and out in 3 hours at MSRP. While I was there 3 dudes came in looking to grab it. MSRP isn’t a great deal but I was happy to grab it.

We have a pretty decent waitlist on our PRO's but they are all sold at MSRP...even before Covid started lol.
