My first bike, circa 1982 (not my picture)

    2nd bike, circa 1983 (don’t I look proud!?)

3rd, around 1985 (again, not my pic)

    My 10th? 11th?

THIS one I saved from a certain death, this is before -

    and after -

I’ll have to dig up some pics of my 2 EDC bikes, I ride a ‘99 Valkyrie Interstate (Supervalked), and an ‘04 Goldwing.

Oh my! The memories! That '82 Kawasaki - looks like the 454 LTD. If I'm correct that little bike was quite quick! Nice!

The Yamaha 650 Special is really nice. I had a shipmate on my first submarine that had the 400 (maybe 450) Special. I hated that bike. I thought it was very uncomfortable to ride and grossly underpowered.

The Goldwing is epic and legendary. That must be a post 1983 bike judging by the Comcast wheels. I'm still hooked on the Goldwings. I ride an '05 and my wife rides an '04 Champion Sidecar trike.

I think the CB900 is an '82 based on the Comstar wheels - black inlay with brushed aluminum edge plates. Beautiful bike! I damn near bought one used in '84. I didn't buy it because the shaft-hop was totally insane on that bike.

Thank you for posting up these views down memory lane!

    My pleasure!
Somewhere in between there i had an XL500S, a DR500, an LTD750, another Valkyrie, a Shadow VT1100, and probably a few I’ve forgotten.

    Oh, VTX1800…

    My current EDC’s.

If you’ve seen one Goldwing, you’ve seen ‘em all -

But have you seen one of these?

Picked this up just over a month ago. New rider, and first bike. I've put just over 4k kms on it since then, and just brought it inside to store it for the winter... I can't wait until next spring.

Track only bike it's whole life. Got some fiberglass damage on the clutch side I need to put a small patch on and the number graphics are peeling pretty badly. Just gonna pull em and repair. Spend $20 on some rattle can and respray it while I'm at it spruce it up. Wife hates orange lol

Can't be styling with a custom white/red kangaroo suit and clash with orange! Gotta look cool while I'm skipping down the asphalt on by back and the bike is tumbling down turn 4 of Summit.

My son and I on the way home from the Harley dealer. Picked up a'17 CVO Ultra, sons on my '11 Streetglide. I sold the SG late last summer(HUGE regrets) and think of selling the CVO and buying a new vehicle. We only get in about 2K miles now days, wifes hip bothers her and my back has fits some days. Sucks getting older.IMG_5244.jpg

Took a full weekend between other obligations to pull strip and sand. Fiberglass repairs this weekend (teaching myself so likely won't be anything to write home about) and I'll paint in January.

This one came from a 15 year old who won 4 WERA titles on it lol. Depressing when someone half your age rides 10x better than you. I repaired bunch of fiberglass last night, replaced sprocket/chain, all 6 brake pads, stainless steel rear line (fronts already SS), and flushed with new motul. Got bondo glass for the aesthetics today. Slow process but coming along.

It's been too long since I've stirred the pot in here. Gonna throw more yootoob vids in too!

Does anyone in here have yootoobers they watch for bike info, gear, or just for kicks?

There are a few I enjoy for different reasons.

Fortnine used to be all gear reviews, and I liked those because it was a different style and Ryan is a smart ass. It has since evolved into some really well done entertaining vids that would be akin to motorcycle articles back when magazines were more than shills trying to sell stuff. There's some good info, great breakdowns on regs/laws/ratings, tips and tricks, and some unique takes on things too. Here's an informative one with a silly premise that may save somebody some headache. Bonus points because he drives a Tundra. :)

    https://youtu.be/doSDfIo61r0

I watch a lot of Dork in the Road's stuff too. Stumbled on him when looking for the CB500X because he did a video on his brother's bike. Below is a better video than the first one he did on it, because it's more than just riding it home. Bonus points because he also drives a Tundra.
I have since followed his stuff because he is also of a heavier disposition and not super tall, though taller than I am, so I feel that he gives me the better idea of how stuff will work for me vs watching somebody tall/skinny/fit like Spurgeon, Zack, or Ari from High Side Low Side/Revzilla.

    https://youtu.be/uV1wcRfWgRU

Obviously, Itchy Boots' season 3 where she rode her CB500X named Ronin around northern Europe was a fun one, but that's more for inspiration than learning the bike or tips. She does have some good gear tips, but I mostly watched for her trip experiences and bubbly personality.

    https://youtu.be/vbrt_imxZB0?list=PL8M9dV_BySaVSYGddfdpy4D6G12nixSXI

There are others that I've seen, some with and without CB500X content, but just didn't click for me for various reasons. Any you'd recommend to a total noob with a pitiful amount of experience on nothing but a VTX 1300 for a couple summers, and only slow riding at that? Any newbie riders that have bike channels?
