This makes me want to tell you to go AC. My 22 4 door with 35's just is not fun running around town in. Parking is a pain in the ass, and it has a much better turning radius than a 1stGT. I find myself choosing the 2000 AC over the 2022 most of the time. With my short wife and an 11 and 3 YO girls I get no complaints in the AC. How big are your kids? How often would it be the kids and the wife with you? My wife says she doesn't mind the smaller size... wait. what?

My only gripe about the AC was the size of the rear 'seat' if you can call it that.
My last GF had 3 kids . . . 2 of them were fine back there till about 10 years old, after that it was a forget it.
    It's a decent size crap-trap though.

Oh yea forgot I posted those xD, kinda old photos now, changed afew things since them. Like 90% of the frame is mint but there is some like layer separation in the regular spot by the rear wheels, on 66k miles!

My brother just got an 06 DC. I’m really interested to see/feel the difference between my 00 with 4.56, long tubes and 33s vs his stock 06.

hold on now...at some point the 2uz goes from 9.something to 10.something compression ratio. Theres bound to be a difference.

Pre vvti was lower compression. 05-06 are the higher compression

Example is the 05 Avalon was 280hp vs my 06 being 263. They just changed how engines were dyno’d to show power figures

But still, that extra compression is doing more work. Maybe needs premium. Plus why introduce vvti unless you're going to cut the cam steeper for the V.E. And move it this way in that powerband, and that way for this powerband. I know they raised peak torque rpm, which was kinda dumb for a truck.

They likely raised compression to help power, but more likely to help emissions since the Vvti allows them to do other fun stuff. Either way, the 2uz was unchanged from 05 to the end of its life other than 07+ having the air switching valves moved to the valve covers

Eh. The systems pretty simple. I’ll take Viti over non Any day.

the air pump sucks. But easily bypassed

I had an 01 AC and an 06 DC and I agree with everything here. 06 interior felt put together better.
