I just recently purchased a 2017 2WD tundra without a skid plate (aka lower engine cover ) and when I looked on Toyota parts.com and called the dealer they say their are 2 OEM engine covers available, a small one and a larger one and the smaller one basically doesnt cover much and the larger one isnt for my 2wd model?

at further inspection under my truck it seems the larger one would work as I have the 5 larger threaded bolt holes and 3 plastic tabs for the 3 screws but am holding off ordering the engine cover because I dont want to get stuck with a 35% restocking fee

I was wondering if anyone else with a 2-wheel drive tundra has put on the larger skid plate / engine cover with Toyota part # 514100c010 and it work and if not what if any options do I have ?

I appreciate any information you might have

If you're in Minnesota, you can have my old OEM "TRD Off-Road" version skid plate which is the smaller version. Just chilling in my garage in SE MN.

Definitely would, but probably not worth shipping, when the shipping cost is about the same as a new one with free shipping from somewhere online!

I only ask because I haven't seen an actual photo of one that fits the 2wd but have only seen a sketch of one on the toyota parts website.

    thank you
