I have a white topped out SR5 with gray Softex interior.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I initially read/saw that the limited trims and above have padded front door armrests. I'm having trouble finding anything concrete on this.
If it is true I'd like to see if I can swap them out. Seems like it would be 15 in the image below. But then when you look at the 4 or so trim/color options for 15 I get lost.

I honestly don't know if the initial reporting I heard was correct. Is the padded door trim based on trim level or the seating material. Cloth/Softex/Leather? Or does it exist at all?

Just looking for a touch of extra comfort on long trips if it exists.

On my 1794 that piece is leather and comfortable, as is the internal door arm rest with the cut out in it

I have a limited with Softex and mine are padded. So I would assume all US Limiteds have padded arm rests. When I’m hunting for modification part numbers I look for a different truck that has the part I want. Then I take that trucks vin to where I buy Toyo parts and order that part. Works every time. Hope this helps you figure it out.

I have a 2022 1794 and the arm rest as well as the center glove box arm rest are vinyl and not leather. In my 2nd gen 1794 the center console glove box had padded leather.

Thanks guys. I'll have to dig a little further. No mater what VIN I put in it gave me all of the options that were available.

We don’t have the same search functions as OEM parts departments have. They can search vin specific and tell you which part number is for that vin. When we search they all come up.

I bet the TOYOTA definition of padded is just lined with Softex/leather with no actual padding underneath. I mean lets be real both Softex and leather do offer some "padding" in their own right, just not the way we all usually think.

The fact that other people even think their armrest is padded makes me think there is a diference ;)

Did not know that. I am headed in on Monday for a recall and oil change so I'll check then.

Update, The armrests are not available seperatly from the door pannel. I found that the black with blue accent was in fact a higer trim that would be padded. I found a dealer webpage that showed the part available to order with a price. I ordered it and it was canceled an hour later when they found out that they could not get the part. Maybe later as a junkyard find...
