Damn that is one bad ass truck. Seriously. I would trade trucks for a day to cruise around in that.

Maybe Toyota will follow suit and make this a factory option.

Ahhhh could be.. I remember when I had remote start out in my avalanche 10 years ago, each module was like $10-14 so it wasn't that's bad.. but times have changed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes they have. I was originally looking at the viper5706v after my buddy showed me his rolling down the windows and starting the truck and popping the tailgate. You can get the stuff off Amazon for around $200 for the alarm, another $50-80 for each module (which only runs 2 windows each) , plus the idatalink acla remote start interfuse. I wanted my sunroof included and my powerfold mirrors and the next thing I knew it was around $700 and that didn't include the install. Then there is the hassle of the amazon stuff not being an authorized dealer, so must places don't want to install, or won't warranty the work............:frusty:
Went with the Fortin Evo 1 and called it good. :D

All honesty bro, I had the modules that you could hit the button and roll down all the windows.. it was cool showing all my buddies and shit bit after a month or so... I never used it again.. I always used my remote start to heat and cool down the truck but never really used the windows up and down.. it got old quick and it was kinda pointless.. just my opinion but the tail gate would be a great new option.. carrying anything.. pop it open and throw it down.. save some $$ and take my advise

It starts up the truck , stops, rolls up the windows and rolls them down....all 5 windows ...I really did it so when It's hot out I can open up my Truck and let the heat out before I get in..

Oh, I saved $. I canned the whole (Viper) thing and went with the most important to me.....the remote start. Like you, I use that all the time, but my old car could do the windows, and you're right, I hardly ever used it.
I would like to be able to remotely fold my mirrors in though. I forget to do it when I get out sometimes and have to get back in and put the key in again to fold them. Maybe someone can figure out how to wire the Platinum folding mirrors so the switch is hot all the time. Hmmmmm.
As for the tailgate, my buddy just used the Pop & Lock solenoid to open his.

That looks similar to the Viper one, it even has almost the same part #. I think they are both owned by DEI now so cost is probably similar.

I do remember they tied my back window in to the truck option on the remote some how..Don't ask me ..but I can roll up and down all windows at once or separately..Maybe some how you can do the same with the side mirrors...

Kickass! My 05 Altima had the factory feature of being able to lower the front windows and tilt the sunroof holding the unlock button. Raising the windows (all) and closing the sunroof meant holding the lock button. I didn't have remote start.

The window bit is nice on a really hot day w/o remote start. Lower the windows to vent.

Or if you rode in to work with the windows down and left them and a rain storm popped up, you can close them without getting soaked. Ask me how I know :)
