    Hi all,

was checking to see how plugs were looking and I noticed when I pulled the coil for the cylinder closest to the oil filler cap, it was DRENCHED in oil. The plug itself looked fine and I pulled the plug behind this one and it was fine no oil anywhere. Any ideas? I’m thinking it might be possible that during oil changes spills accumulated into that cylinder. Big note it was only in the well and boot area oil Didn’t make it past the boot. Any ideas?

Spark plug tube gaskets end up leaking over time and drench the plug/coil.

Easy fix, but can be time consuming since you gotta take the valve cover(s) off to git r dun.

I did my plugs today and the plug from cylinder 5 was drenched in oil, but only on the hex nut and the part that the coil fits over. Guess this fix is in my future too…

It could be the way the photo was taken but sure looks like the oily spark plugs' gap is different than the others. Was it dropped or are the gaps all the sameish?

I dropped it trying to put it into the box the new plug came out of…probably because it was slippery thanks to the oil.
