Good evening everyone. I am looking for individuals who have extensive experience or some expertise on LED headlights. I always drive with the day time running lights on and keep my fog lights on along with my headlights at night. While I enjoy the look and the performance of the HID lights, I can't help but worry about the expenses that will come along with it in the long run. Does anyone know how much will it cost to replace the bulbs when its service life ends? Also, what is the average life span of the bulbs when used extensively and daily? Thank you all in advanced.

My understanding is that the entire assembly will require replacing- not bulbs (led). In these assemblies, the turn signals are still halogen and are conventional “bulbs” that can be replaced.

I don’t know about these in particular but most led “bulbs” generally have 50k hour lifespan :fingerscrossed:

Damn. So, do you mean to say the entire headlight assembly has to be replaced once the lights reaches the end of it's service life? Never expected it to be like that. I see a lot of cars and trucks now a days with similar DRLs. Anyone ever had one replaced and can share their total bill?

Speaking of headlights. Anyone have a recommendation for headlight protectants? I heard about the chemical guys "spray seal" but I am looking for other options.

Any idea what the lifespan of a vehicle is?? I’d venture about 5-10x less than 50k hours.

The headlight assemblies run about $300 each.

    Too many, but not enough....
I had this concern as well op but considering the whole assy is 300 bucks for the nicest one new, and probably half that used, I stopped worrying about it. If you used your lights all night long, everyday it should still last like 5 years.
