Yea, this GX has got me thinking I gotta do the GX brake upgrade and maybe the T100 MC this summer. I know even then the Tundra brakes will not be as good as the GX (they weight about the same, but the GX has discs all around) but if they just split the difference between it's current performance and the GX I'd be happy for the cost/effort. I wish I could drive a Tundra with them done already to get a feel for it.

Good to hear from you again. I actually just fixed my brakes by removing my GX calipers and throwing them in the trash. 2 years of misery with them. It seems the shop I used to modify them somehow ruined them.

If you do decide to go with GX calipers I would order them from the OG, Geoff Beers. People that order from him report having success without having to do the T100 MC.

Thanks...I'm gonna try to be at least a little bit more active here going forward if I can manage it. We went from living in the Big City to living 10 minutes from this...

so, I have a lot more to do these days, and no more time... :)

Did you go back to OEM Tundra or did you get new GX one's done right?

Paper cones must fare pretty well in the drier climate. Any paper cones with foam surrounds I’ve bought have pretty much disintegrated either in the foam or paper flex surround area.

I think the only speakers left that are decent are my older, cheaper Jensen 3-way triaxial 6x9 car stereo speakers.

    Wow that's beautiful.

I went down to 13WL calipers and I'm fine with how the truck brakes now. I doubt I'll ever try to mess with GX calipers again since my last experience was so bad I actually considered giving up and selling the truck at one point. I lost a lot of money on those.

People that ordered from Geoff are happy though. I'm sure he's modified enough at this point to get it right.

Did you just rock auto some 13wl's or buy OEM? 600 from Gehoff for just the calipers seems a bit spendy. @empty_lord is looking pretty brilliant with his TRD setup.

Yes I picked up cheap calipers from Rock Auto.

$600 is a lot but I lost that much on calipers that didn't work correctly. Had I known I would have gladly paid him. I had to visit 4 machine shops before I found one that would take the job and they charged me $100 for what was probably 30 minutes of work.

The alternative would be knowing someone with a machine that could mill the ear who you trust.

My bud has a machine to do that, as long as we have good instructions. Mind linking the RA calipers you went with? I remember somebody having hell with some leaky ones they bought in a pinch.

That's great. Pays to have good friends.

I went with Raybestos calipers in 14WA and then again when I went down in size to 13WL. Looks like they are $90/side now on RockAuto.

I am surprised how many members are showing interest in buying headers from a member we don't know. I asked for more info on his friends welding experience at least.

The interest is there because theres a hole in the market. When blue grape posts pics, that interest might get serious, but until he has good pics, its just shallow passing interest.

Depends whether you're posting from your PC or from your phone.

Phones normally save pictures with EXIF orientation data to dictate what way the picture should be displayed, but sometimes stuff gets wonky with websites interpreting the info at upload time.

Best thing to do if you're uploading on a Windows PC is to open up the file in Microsoft Paint, which is pre-installed on virtually every Windows computer. Once open, just use the Rotate button to flip it around to correct orientation.

If on a Mac, I typically use Photoshop, but that's not something everyone has. IrfanView or GIMP are other free options for both PC and Mac, I think.

When you're shooting with your iPhone, do you ever pay attention to the little camera icon in the bottom right, with a circular recycle-looking circle inside it?

That tells you what orientation the photo is being taken in. Be sure to look at it carefully to see what it's going to write into the EXIF data of the photo.
