I’ve owned a 2020 tundra trd pro for around 9 months now, this is my first time owning anything in the Toyota family so I’m learning as I go and with some help on this forum. I’ve had the truck in for maintenance every 5k miles and the truck passes with flying colors every time, there’s just one thing that bugs me and I’m not sure if this is just my truck or all tundras in this generation but at lower speed maneuvers like pulling in and out of drive ways or parking spots there is a lot of creaking clicking and popping, I’m not sure if it’s the suspension, brakes, or rack and pinion, Is this normal for these trucks?

    Too many, but not enough....
Willing to bet most of it is due to the skid plate and it not being properly torqued

Yep. Lots of threads with lots of ideas how to correct the noise, temporarily or otherwise.

Yup. The easiest way is just loosen all the bolts and tighten to the factory torque spec. Worked for me. If that doesnt work, put some padding in between the plate and the chassis.

I never thought about the skid plate being the issue but now that it’s mentioned the noises do seem to come from that area, thanks I’ll check that this weekend

On the other hand, if you hear any ticking, clicking and tapping noises from the engine area and you think you may have a diesel engine, it's ok don't worry, that's normal. :D

Mine were silent until I messed with the front/rear suspension then you get alot more noise. The leaf springs can get grit between the leafs and make odd noises at low speeds, hitting them with a hose up close can clear it out + some WD40 afterwards could help. Could be other things like TRD skid plates like others have posted, just an idea to give your Truck a deep clean for the under carriage.

It’s definitely not from the engine but my dad had that with his F-150 and he was adamant there was something wrong they told him it’s just the valves opening and closing

ABS makes noise almost every single time, loud or mild pops or clicks. Other then that, dried out/dirty suspension and steering components will make noise as mentioned by Ponderosa_Pine
Modifying components can also have this effect.

I was thinking it was coming from the brakes, I only have 43k on the truck so I wasn’t really thinking suspension, but I will be checking all these suggestions out this weekend thank you
