If you had to buy your Tundra again today, which trim/options would it have that you are missing right now?

I have a 1794 and I would buy another 1794. Not missing anything I really wanted.

    How about you?

I’d buy exactly what I have today, and I’d add exactly all the things it has on it right now…

I had my 2008 for 11-1/2 years and just shy of 300k miles. I knew exactly what I did and didn’t want and did and didn’t need when I went looking for this one.

Based on my prior patterns, in about 9 more years I’ll be looking for the next one and will have a different perspective then.

Any SR5 owners with Limited envy? Or Limited owners wish they only had an SR5? I'm going to be looking to buy one and was thinking the SR5 will have less to go wrong with it.

I would buy a 2021 or older limited or higher trim package.

Loving my '21 PRO and wouldn't change my decision. However, I just don't freakin' understand why this thing doesn't have memory seats or parking assist sonar; neither was an option for this trim level, but they should have been included!!!!

I’d pick whatever it took to get a power seat with lumbar. Even though I’ve upgraded several things along the way, the truck I bought was the truck I needed - and still need. I like almost everything about it; just wish the seat had some more adjustment.

    But…. If I didn’t use my truck like I use it now, I’d take a crewmax 1794 6.5’ bed.

When you buy used it's tough to be real picky, but if I had my choice I would like to get a different color than black. The dam thing doesn't stay clean for more than 10 minutes after a good detail.......

My limited is fine... would definitely do it again. Only complaint is the stereo sucks, but I'm going to work on that.

I'd stick with my SR5. Once in a while I wish for memory mirror positions but my wife hasn't driven the truck in a while so.....

2017 SR5, 4 wdr, would buy again, larger fuel tank, not as many Nannie’s, and cheap enough to allow for mods lol. Really wanted a PRO, but happy the way I went, about the only thing I didn’t like on the SR5 was the cloth seats, I didn’t like Al the chrome but knew I was going to get rid of most of that anyway

Whatever this forum told me to do
    this.

although it's going to be tough to find a v8 in the coming years....

my '20 1794 is perfection with the blower on it.

maybe I would choose a different brand of traction bars....

I wish they made a "new version" of what I have. "Knock on wood", I have low miles on my rig, so I will wait and see what (if any) changes are made and options are offered over the next couple of years.:fingerscrossed:

Would look around a bit more and maybe get one with a sunroof and leather. That said, I know the history on mine as it belonged to my boss who bought it new, and he only traded it on a Duramax for more towing/stopping for pulling their camper.

I bought my truck used and lucked out on it's configuration and price. It had everything I really wanted/needed, SR5 with SR5 upgrade package, off road package, convenience package so I got the features I needed like cross traffic, big gas tank, parking sensors, etc and being a 2016 it has trans cooler and does not have all the TSS stuff which I didnt want. It literally is how I would have built the truck if I purchased new and a I got a smoking deal on the truck.

It would have been nice to get a TRD Pro, but I would have needed to spend another 10 grand at least for a used Pro. Ive lifted my truck two inches, now have the pro stance and the features I needed for a fraction of the cost of the Pro.

I’ve said in another similar thread that I made my own limited minus a few items that I didn’t want or need (that I felt). Then I feel like I have better upgrades of the things that I did add. My leather seats are better. I got all 4 down auto windows instead of just 2. I didn’t want a sunroof so that’s a win. I don’t have terrible amounts of chrome. I don’t mind the lack of dual climate. One thing I wish I had that I think most limited trims have is the heated glass at the windshield wipers.

I was fortunate in the fact that I got exactly what I needed and wanted.

Personally, amenities really don’t matter when it comes a vehicle for me.

A step up from the work package (SR5) is more than enough. I chose the TRD Offroad because it has the best ride qualities in my area out of the other models I test drove and have had experience with.

At least they stamped the headlight w/PRO so you won't forget :santa2:

So, you liking the new rig???? Duty wise, it would probably be perfect, but the interior of those things are just too narrow for me to "stretch out" and be comfortable. That's why we ditched the 4Runner after only having it for 4k (and to get a new PRO Tundra)...

Passenger headlight says "TRD" and diver says "PRO" so EVERYBODY knows. Then there's the decal on the hood, stamped sheet metal of the bed, and a TRD Pro badge on the tailgate. I hear you on the fit needing to be right. A tacoma won't work for everyone, but it's perfect for me so far. That's the important thing, get what works for you and your life. :fistbump:

I would still be debating myself over a 1794 vs a Platinum. I went with the 1794 because I really like the interior (with some decreased chrome) but I like the exterior of the Platinum better. When my chrome grille gets banged up enough I will replace it with the Platinum grill, after which I will have the perfect truck. :)

I love my 2020 TRD Pro and love my color, however, my first choice was always a 2020 TRD Pro in Army Green. I had to settle for an MGM because at the time it was slim pickens. I am still very happy with my truck, plan to hang on to it for as long as I live, and am thankful to even have a Tundra. I always remember how broke my family was and how my wife, daughter, and I lived out of my small bedroom in my parents house for so many years. I had a Dodge Dakota and would always turn my head at every Tundra I saw on the road. My wife promised me that when she graduated Nursing school I can have my truck and she kept her promise.
