I just went to my garage and realized I lied. I'm not missing one but I had to use a random bolt. I removed the tie down hook and when I went to reinstall it, the upper bolt would not thread in for some reason. It's been like that a few years so it's probably ok but it looks goofy.

I would definitely paint them to look like minions considering they're made to stand out being canary yellow.

Aren't there nano-coatings to protect the wheels in winter now? I would think that would work well for ceramic brake pads vs traditional ones to protect @Grumpy74 's wheels.

Yeah, I'm good with it because we don't salt the roads in my town so they shouldn't get too beat up

I thought he meant new tires. The wheels are nice too.
What state doesn't use salt in the winter? I've heard Alaska doesn't but that's hard to imagine.

There are a few states in the mid-west and Pacific Northwest that use sand instead of salt. More expensive than salt though.

I've talked to people in Colorado that claim they don't salt the roads while other Coloradoans said that isn't true. Brine is way worse than salt. It's the devil.

I think, don’t quote me on it, that salt/brine is preferable for high traffic areas (i.e. interstate highways) whereas sand is preferred for local/mountain roads with less traffic so if you live out in the sticks, you may only see sand.

No I mean I think brine is way worse for our vehicles. That's the liquid right? It gets in every crack and crevice.

All ends up the same. Salt melts into brine and gets thrown up.
    Mag chloride is worse.

Both are bad for waterways, sand causes issues once roads are dry and plugs storm drains. No option is without problems.

Deaver still makes springs for themselves. Archive use to be made by deaver. No clue now.

Yep. Because they can use less of it than salt to do the same job and it’s slightly cheaper. I’d rather pay slightly more in taxes to cover the distribution and cleanup of sand or salt than brine than have it rust out my vehicle.

Nice night out with the new setup. Drawers worked great. Those string lights provide the perfect amount of light in the cab. Got two of my privacy curtains done with insulation inside. They worked well -- very little light leaks through from the sides now. I do need to relocate the string lights to the ceiling I think, to keep them out of the way of the curtains.

Hoping to make the other two curtains this weekend, tweak the light position a little bit and attack the shell leaks a bit more.

My battery quit last week. I picked up a Duracell for Batteries and Bulbs. Replaced the positive terminal because it had stripped from excessive corrosion. Sprayed the terminals with Fluid Film to keep them nice and clean. Also repainted the rusty old battery tie down. Things look much better in there.
