It’s the factory jbl sub. I haven’t focused any energy on building a box yet. Lots of other non-truck distractions this year for me. I’ll update when I get to it though :)

Could you post some measurements of that factory sub enclosure if you can please?

Trying to find somewhere for a powered Sony sub, the one tech12volts sells. Apparently it was incorrect in the description that you can put it under the driver's seat, as there is a vent there.

I had one under the drivers seat.. Worked ok, but didn’t produce the the lows I expected.

Did you remove the air vent?

The DC does offer a JBL subwoofer enclosure that fits behind the rear seats. I have one I bought on ebay, but I didn't like it. If anyone wants it I'll be happy to sell it.

I decided to modify my Pioneer shallow mount subwoofer enclosure so it fits behind the seat (cut off the "feet", trimmed the box down a few inches, and added polyfill to compensate for the reduced air volume). One slight drawback in the seat bottom will not come up enough to lock into the upward position. Otherwise, I love having the amp and subwoofer behind the seats AND the under seat storage box.

What do you not like about it? The bass quality?

I have no idea what the sound quality is as I never hooked it up. I wanted to move the Pioneer sub into that enclosure, but found the JBL sub is smaller and of inferior quality (paper cone) versus the Pioneer. I will assume the sound quality will not be as good.

Yes but you have to raise the seat 2” and move it forward 2”. I used 2x4 1/2”x.250 HSS to accomplish that.

If you want good bass without slapping the back of the seats you do. If you’re only adding a little single sub then probably not. I was sharing what I had to do to get three 10” subwoofers behind the rear seat.

I just seen yours and We apparently have two different ideas of what a subwoofer box behind the seat means.

I guess. Mine works for me and sounds good for being a single 10" sub.

At the end of the day that’s all that matters. The one I built is for a friends son. The one in my 2011 DC I removed my rear seats

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
It was a stock Pioneer 10” sub I used the existing cargo box and mounted the sub and Pioneer amp to it. The Pioneer subs model number is in the pic I sent. It’s only 5” tall so it sits perfectly in the cargo tray. TS-SWX251
