P0135

I know there are old post regarding the infamous o2 sensor code for the first gen tundras. Just got myself one last week before Thanksgiving.

Looking to get all four replace since I've read on here that some has replaced one and code continues to pop up. Can I get some directions on what part # should I get specifically?

With the 3.4L you only have two. One upstream, and one down stream.

Only use Denso parts as these trucks are "picky" about the electronics/sensors. I had to install an oxygen sensor fouler on my downstream sensor to get rid of a P0420 code. These may not be legal where you're at. Kentucky doesn't do vehicle inspections for registration, or any other kind of inspection that I know of.

Oh, and roughly where are you located? If you're in the rust belt I'd spray the upstream, and downstream studs/nuts with penetrant like wd-40, Kroil, or something similar. Let it soak a few days. If your stud is in good shape, it should be a 12 mm deep well socket or a ratchet wrench.

 

Have a can of WD-40 ready to go. It just sits on top of my tool bag in case I need it.

Recently traded the genesis coupe for the truck for work. Just double checking all maintenance that needs to be done before traveling again for work.

 

If NJ, yeah, definitely start hitting it with penetrant now to let a few heat cycles help it get in, then repeat every couple days until you swap. Something known to go deep. WD40 is a water displacement agent, not a classic 'penetrant'. Some of these guys like Kroil, I personally love PB Blaster. I dunno how Kroil smells, but PB smells pretty rough. Not telling you what to do, just tossing out some thoughts.

I like the smell of Kroil. It's kinda sweet. But I also like the smell of fluid film so... and my sniffer is distorted from smnigerettes

 

To be fair, I've never used Kroil myself. So not sure how it smells. PB Blaster, to me, smells like a mix of kerosene, mineral spirits, transmission fluid, and something slightly sweet. I can always tell when someone's been using it.
