I think train horns are silly but i plan to put the same horns that dump trucks have, obviously if they are legal on a dump truck they are legal on a pickup.

 

What if we know that he knows nuthin? I'd say that means we are the smartest...

Ppl here in Houston will literally cut a Semi off on an interstate, get out of their car, march up to the driver side door, pull it open and punch the driver. That's one of the more tame stories too.

Having been run off the road by a dipshit in a Challenger, even while blowing a Klein dual trumpet horn in my Radiant Red taco, I'm going bigger. As long as you use it for what it is meant for, there shouldn't be any issue. That's why you rewire the original horns to a momentary switch for the non-emergency use.

I would run a train horn, but only for two uses.

1. I have nearly been hit more that a half dozen times by semi trucks merging or weaving into my lane without checking mirrors. I've driven the trucks and some are loud enough you wouldn't hear any stock horn. A train horn might get then to stop running me off the road.
2. To make a friend/family member walking in front of it wet themselves.

I only use my horn as a warning for oblivious drivers, or to warn phone zombies that their automaticic right of way won't keep their bones from breaking went they step off the curb in front of a car that can't stop in time. Train horns are overkill for this.

 

Forget the train horns and get a tug horn.
