Hello everyone, new here. Just took me a week to read through this whole thread. My god so much to do. I think I opened a can of worms.
I guess I'll start with my first mod. Picked up MGM 17 CM about a week ago. Waiting for the dealer to call me for my first mods to be done. Rev tech level kit, rims and tires. Now I'm trying to figure out of I want to spray the bed or put sliders on? Both will be useful to me. I'm in the mountains on trails a lot, camping/hunting and I can't wait to get some Rocky Mountain pinstriping going! image.jpg Here she is. My first Toyota. Absolutely love it.

I went with bed spray first. Found that more important vs steps at first. Without steps, worse case would be that my wife couldn't climb on :D

More so need sliders then steps, here's the thing. Bangin off rocks and ruts or animal hair and blood in the bed. Can't afford both before hunting season (I don't think).

Get a bed mat which is cheaper and bed spray later you can use the bed mat over as extra protection. Get a cross between a slider and step bar.... your welcome

Not super hard. But hard enough to slam my sliders on my old truck.

Thanks Paul I'll look into this. Now that I finished this thread I'm heading over to vendors to see what I can find for slider/step.

I managed to do this within months after getting the truck. Only upside, is the wife was fully on board with spending the money for the sliders! lol

Yeah, if you're doing moderate to heavy offroading, sliders are a no brainer. Scratches in your bed will get covered up whenever you do the bedliner. Dents on the side of your truck... not so easy to cover up.

True, but better be some sliders very tight to the body, cause without a lift you will lose some clearance.

Thank you Jose, I appreciate it.

Ouch! This is what I'm afraid off. I got the ok from the kitchen critter for some sliders for just this reason. Bed liner she doesn't quite get. Lol

So my truck is going in for the revtek kit hopefully this week. With the rims and tires I'll have a little bit more clearance from what I understand..

Anyone have recommendations on a good tight fitting slider?

My sliders are level to the frame so you don't really lose any clearance. But it's saved my body a couple of times already. It really puts your mind at ease when you're on dirt.

Do you have a build thread that I can check yours out? Going to start researching. Think I'll go with a bed mat for now and grab me a set a sliders.
