I have a Lunar Rock so I may have a little biased but I must say a MGM with the red interior might be the kicker, I bet that's gonna look sexy. Unless of course you don't like the red interior and in that case LR limited all the way!

 

Its black interior. If it was red it would be no brainer.

Did you sell the lightning already?

 

I did. I sold it back to the dealer I bought it from while it was in demand

 

Nice while it lasted I'm sure. On a random side note I was at the local Ford dealer last week checking the status of some warranty work on one of our ambulances and they had a Lightning with the cab completely off, tech said they were getting ready to pull and replace the entire battery bank.

 

Pros look the best in MGM in my opinion

 

I would disagree, I love mgm but in the pro is looks like a base model

 

I am waiting on a pro MGM with red interior so thats my pick.

 

I saw 1 pic, and had same thoughts. After finding a few more good pictures, different angles…I think it looks great. May have a different opinion once I see it in person, hope not.

Cool, I didn't realize it, my 1794 came with a locking gas cap door! I thought I'd read earlier that it wasn't an item on the 3rd gen.

 

I wish mine had it! How do you know yours has it? I thought it's only an option for capstone or maybe Trd pro?

 

My Limited has the locking feature to open-lock gas door from interior.

 

The button to open it, is a button with a gas pump icon on it, on the bottom left gang of buttons (next to the steering wheel heater button, auto hi beams, etc. )

 

I do not have that button to open the gas cap.

My 1794 edition gas cap door is unlocked at all times. I checked the Toyota trims spec sheet a month ago and saw that only 1-2 top trims (1794 excluded) had this option. According to you guys I'm wrong looks like...

 

I'm not sure if it comes with a package, or ??? I have a 2023 1794 hybrid with TRD OR.

I wouldn't have a problem with buying a separate locking gas cap, as I had on my ram, but I've heard that Tundra is likely to throw an error code about the gas cap...

 

Yeah, it looks like it's an electronic solenoid that unlatches the door, releasing the pin that holds it shut. The cap is a standard Tundra cap.

 

Why only the hybrids may i ask?

 

because Toyota likes to do odd shit for no reason. Like have the truck shut off when you open the door after remote start and put a hodge podge of mix matched materials on thier trucks

Yes, I really dislike the shut off on our LC, why bother to have remote start, if you have to start all over again when the door is opened. I thought it was something special with the hybrid, thanks for the reply.

 

The switch for the door opener - the gas pump button. (this isn't my dash, but one that I found that was similar that had the gas pump in it similar to mine)

 

On the NON-Hybrid, that is where the Auto Stop/Start disable button is. Locking gas cap or lid still doesn't prevent some fool from drilling a hole in you tank and getting your gas.
