Good afternoon, I did look at general posts and could not find so sorry if redundant. If I get the TRD Pro package 1794 versus my ordered regular 1794 will this add any lift/height? Dealer strangely could not answer in in some other forums (mostly tacoma) the answer was yes and no.
    Thank you for any information.

There is no “TRD Pro” package, at least not from Toyota… the TRD Off Road package adds upgraded suspension, wheels, tires and some basic armor but that’s it. There’s also an official TRD 3” Lift, that adds, you know, 3ish inches.

I got 1794 without the Trd package. My guess is that one with Trd package may add a little bit of a lift since it's a bit different shocks. Shouldn't be too significant or noticeable.

I do recommend to get Trd package as regular shocks suck and truck feels like a boat. I'm waiting for my camper shell to arrive in the next few months and will start planning my suspension upgrade as currently it's just very boat like feeling when I'm turning. I want to make it stiffer... Probably will get HD rear springs and better shocks all around.

I would have gotten the 3in Trd lift package, but I don't want truck to be lifted as I'm happy with the current height.

I'm not sure about the "upgraded tires" on the 1794 TRD. From what I am reading, and my 1794 TRD arrives in 10 days, those have the Falken A/T3W-A tires. Those are part of the Falken line up but until recently not sold in US. I've been doing some research on them and have some concerns. They have an almost 1 inch narrower tread width compared to other more common tires of the same size. (265x60R20). The sidewall protection is also less than other "AT" tires in the same category. Plus they are a mere 39 pounds compared to upper 40's pounds on the competitors tires, ie: Continental, BFG, etc. And their rated load capacity is some 500 pounds lower. So...in my books, this is not much of an upgrade to pay for as part of the TRD package. But I will say the tread design looks reasonable...to my barely experienced eye.

    Other opinions welcome.

I don’t know anyone buying the TRD offroad package for the tires. They are buying that package for the multi-terrain select, upgraded shocks, and mostly—locking rear diff.

That makes sense to me. And I too did not buy the TRD for the tires. We could discuss what tires to replace the marginal OEM ones with, but that's a whole discussion currently under other threads.

Here's an interesting video on the A/T3W-A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhyzUssXo-Q

oem tires are very different from what you can buy from the tire shop. Actually there is very little they share in common. Oems are cheaper, lighter, less tread depth, less aggressive and have thin sidewalls

The AT3wA is our OE-spec Wildpeak all-terrain here in North America. Due to it's less aggressive design, it helps to meet manufacturer's criteria for specifications like low noise, comfort, performance, etc. Specifically for the new gen Tundras Limited/TRD package, our OE-spec Wildpeaks does have less tread than a normal, non-OE spec tire in order to meet Toyota's criteria. Despite being put on a diet, the AT3wA still contains a two ply sidewall, normally seen on our regular AT3w tire you could order online or see at tire stores. The same applies to the OE-spec AT3w on the TRD Pro Tundra.

the AT3wA, non-OE spec, was made for outside the North American market, like Europe and Asia, as it meets the needs for those markets. Despite this, the AT3wA for the Tundra for spec for the North American market and for the vehicle.

Thanks for the information. I have them on my sr5 and think they are a great tire. So quiet and smooth.

Shocks do not add ride height. They control suspension movement. No additional lift with TRD OR package.
