Yes, I like the SSO like you have as well as the super stealth SQHD that is all hidden. All good options.

I watched the video as well...the guy (owner?) is running their skid plates so who knows. We had a member here get the run around from them a few years ago with their sliders. It got resolved, but wasn't very impressed with the way IM handled it.

If I'm being honest, I just want some place to mount some lights. But needed or not, rolling around with a system that takes a winch and not installing a winch is like carrying a gun without any ammo...

Anyone recommend a good lift shackle? I want to gain another 1-1.5” lift in the rear due to canopy weight. I already have the OME leaf pack. Thanks

Honestly - I’d probably do the Roadmaster first and then decide if you still want/need a shackle

What's up guys! Just checking in. Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving! We took the only week of the year we get off, and went back down to San Diego for the first time in like 6 years. It was so nice to get out of this weather for a week. Finally got the Outback off-road and only had to drive like 1100 miles to do it . Its no baja trip....but check out these whoops on Fiesta Island @reywcms lol
    IMG_1357.HEIC.jpg
I guess to be transparent there is a 5mph speed limit on the sand. We got down to San Diego around 9am and couldn't check into the hotel till 4 so we took the kids to Mt. Soledad to see the Veterans Memorial and see the views of the majority of SD. Then went and got the best froyo on the planet at Yogurt Mill in El Cajon. We then went and spent a few hours at Fiesta Island letting the kids play till we could go check in.

    IMG_1350.HEIC.jpg IMG_1355.HEIC.jpg IMG_1356.HEIC.jpg

After we checked in the kids went swimming for the rest of the day and we chilled at the hotel.

The next morning I was sitting on our rooms balcony(on the 7th floor) when there was a 6.2 earthquake in Las Brisas. The hotel started swaying...but the kids didn't notice cause they were inside. I was like...well that's cool..first day back and we are starting with this. The view was awesome though.
    IMG_1359.HEIC.jpg

We checked out on Thanksgiving and went to Temecula to go surprise a good friend of mine. He had no idea we were coming. Spent a few days with them and then headed back up here.

Hahah! Temecula is where I grew up! Glad you had a great time out there. They do a big Pre-Runner meet at fiesta island all the time

Think I solved my passenger side suspension clunk. Since July, when I was back in Oregon to pull back my RV trailer, I’ve had a rattle in the front passenger suspension when going over a bump at speed. I had visually checked everything and compared to the driver side looking for differences. I also have spent time under the truck pulling on things looking off play and nothing, until today.

The sun was shining so I got out under the truck again today and I found this rock sitting on top of the frame right where the body slopes up for the passenger footwell. There was a “shadow” of dirt around the rock so it looks like it has been here there for a while. Also, sticking my camera in there it looks like there is damage from the rock in the undercoating.

Removed the rock and went for a drive no more rattle sound. My only guess is that thing has been I there and between frame flex and compression of the body mount this rock has been hitting the footwell making the racket. The rock is not a Texas rock but very much like the gravel from the Oregon campground where the rattle started.

Glad the sound is gone but so is my excuse to my wife to accelerate the purchase of new suspension parts…

Oh nice. I didn't know you grew up down there. That would probably explain the build vs the overland style then. Yeah we went to old town for breakfast on Friday. Went to Swing Inn I think it was called. Food was awesome! Had a great time down there. I had my daughter knock on my buddies door and try to play like she was fundraising for her soccer team. It was hilarious. He was being so patient listening to what she was saying...until she said her team was in Oregon...then he goes"Wait a minute...you look really familiar"(my wife had posted videos of her Finals game the day before) and that's when we popped out from behind the garage and he was like WTF are you guys doing here. His wife knew and she was laughing.

It's just about 1050 from my house down to Mission Beach(Sea World). Which we went to on the second day we were there. It should have taken about 15hrs since we left so late on Sunday afternoon...but LA traffic was freaking horrible! I have made that drive probably ten times. That was absolutely the worst. Coming home was insane!

It was a great trip. Kids had a blast. I can't wait to go back down again.

My stock shackles are contacting the frame during articulation so I definitely need them. I’ll also check out those roadmaster as well. Thanks.

Noted for next time(hopefully sooner than 6 years lol). Pizza was like the only thing we didn't get while down there. It was on the list...just ran out of time.

It was fun. Kids needed a little trip after dealing with the house stuff for over a year.

When I worked in Vegas, the wife and I would do almost 4 weeks/year down in SD to "unwind". We'd usually be down there from the week after Thanksgiving through Christmas or New Years! Much cheaper and less busy down there during the winter. Most of the time we'd stay at a place in PB; so MB, etc.. was a frequent place for us to break dogs, charter a whale watch, etc... Good times!!!!!

This is off Hwy 410, NF-75 over Haller Pass, then you can take NF-73 over Eleanor Ridge and complete the loop back to 410. I go there a lot!

Well pops has said F it and will be moving to the LSK race kit upfront. So the total chaos LT kit with new king triple bypasses will be available. Figured I'd leak the info here before I push this out to the masses. lol

I'll also be moving to that kit so a camburg kit will also be available lol
