Sorry fellas, I've looked through a crap load of pages today and have yet to find out a simple answer to a question. I have a 23' platinum supposed to be delivered in a few weeks and looking for the exact factory tires that come on it.

Ive read a few posts that they are Falken Wildpeak but all the ones I have found were mid 50s in weight compared to the almost 40lb tires that come on factory.

Anyone have the exact tire model number?

    Thanks

The Platinums and Limiteds I have seen all have 265/60/20 Yokohama Geolander X-CV from the factory.

Now I see how they are getting the low weights in the tires... I never could find them

Put your vin into the Toyota owners website and you will be able to see the brand. I have a 2023 platinum on order and it shows Yokohama tires with a Falken spare. I have Falken Wildpeaks on my 2023 sr5 TSS offroad and they are not the aggressive tread you see on retail versions. I would guess these are pretty light tires also. They ride like a street tire, very quiet. I like them.

And realize that the OEM tire may not be the exact same tire as the aftermarket name brand tire with the same model name. I found that out when my wife's CRV needed a new tire after only 500 miles. Went to Discount Tire and but they would have had to order the tire. Ended up at the Honda dealer to get the tire...which ironically was about $12 cheaper than DT. Talking with both of them, apparently there is a slight difference in construction and rubber compound in an OE marked tire to better match it to the vehicle. While I do believe they are different, I call BS on the better match aspect and believe it is all about saving a bit of money by making it cheaper. In this case, they both stated the OE had a more flexible sidewall. I suppose in a big truck tire there could be a weight variation.

Thx for this post. I looked it up and my 1794 is coming with Yokohama. I assume it is the same as mentioned above. Would prefer an all-terrain tire but these will do until they wear out I guess. The spare says Falken Tire At Sa. I'll have to look this up and see what this is. Probably no market for a set of new if I change them out immediately.

My 1794 TRD off road shows the Falken Tire At Sa and Michelin as spare. If anyone can confirm what the At Sa means that would be interesting.

I don't have the 1794 yet, arrives in 10 days. I think the Falken Tire At Sa is the Falken A/TW3A tire but not sure: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/falken-wildpeak-a-t3w-a

They are not very aggressive looking, but do seem to get decent reviews. I think they are more fuel economy centric and less serious off road. I do also think they would be more stable for trailer towing than a more aggressive off road tire, just my opinion.

I too plan to drive them till they either wear out, a rock on my off road trip tears them up, or I just can't stand them anymore. Right now I have the Continental TerrainContact on a 2013 Ridgeline and really like them offroad. They have taken a beating and keep going. Hoping the Falkens will be at least similar.

I have always liked Continental tires. Bikes, cars, motorcycles, etc. they have always performed well.

Only set of Continental tires I ever had were e loads from the factory on a 2500 diesel. Totally bald at 17k and replaced with 2 sets of Michelins that went 50k each. So fingers crossed with the Duelers that came on Tundra will not be tire shopping next year.

I looked up reviews on the Yoko Geolanders on Tire rack and they get decent overall reviews. I like the more aggressive look of the tread on some other tires but there is a trade-off for road noise too.

Geolanders are not that noisy. I barely notice the noise from their mud terrain tires in my cab.

How do the yoko m/ts do in the snow? I see you are in Idaho so assuming you see some snow use. I am doing the TRD lift and hence getting some new rubber. Debating between the nitto ridge grapplers or the yoko m/t g003. Both 35x12.5R20. I am leaning towards the Yokohamas but was a little worried about noise. Sounds like they’re not too bad though…

No issues so far. Hit a few snow drifts last night about a foot high and got through without any drama.
