I’m curious . When the TRD package is on the truck do they always come with that all black wheel ? I ordered a limited hybrid with Trd . I wish it was this white cause that’s sexy AF

Very nice MateoAirborne. We are expecting our 1794 TRD offroad in a couple of weeks. It is in Celestial Silver.

I'm wondering what yours has for skid plates? Ours has the TRD front skid as optional. As you know these days, we take what we can get from the dealer allocations. I'd really like to see pictures of how the underside of your truck looks from a skid plate and ground clearance perspective.

Am I right that Toyota has done a good job of keeping what I call the "low hanging" clap trap tucked up and mostly out of the way? I see the F150 and Silverado's all with shock absorbers hanging down as low as the differential housing. Seems like this is asking to get those hit by a ground obstruction.

Oh, one more question if you don't mind: what tires did yours come with? I think some are coming with Michelin's. I'm a Michelin fan in general, but I understand the Michelin tire that Toyota is shipping with is not as good as the Wildpeaks...not that Wildpeaks are great either, but better than the Michelin model. Just wondering :)
    thanks

Thanks. Im guessing they do all come with the black wheels in the TRD Package. One thing I’m not crazy about is that I thought it would come with BFGoodrich A/Ts, but it didn’t. It came with Falken all weathers. The 20” rims are pretty cool though. The have the red TRD logo in the middle.

@MateoAirborne: are the tires Falken All Weather or All Terrain? On Falken's website there is an A/T3W and H/T02 in our size (265x60R20). Got a picture by chance? thanks.

@Paul Moll, they are the AT3WA. Not really what I want but they might offer better gas mileage than the BF Goodrich all terrains that I usually get.

I like it! What kind of running boards do you have? Is it lifted?

Black was my second choice. I also told the dealership that I would take a platinum too. I had to be flexible because it took so long!

Unfortunately mine did not come with the high-speed chrome TRD skid plate.

Thanks for the pictures MateoAirborne. I suspect mine with come with the AT3WA as well. Wish for more aggressive AT tires. But then again mpg and I'm going to do some towing with it and the more aggressive the tread gets the worse the towing stability on highway (I think). I'll just take what I get and if I can't stand them for our use cases then have to get something else.

Also the front skid plate: yea steel is standard. Ours happens to come with the TRD offroad, don't think I would pay for that if I had a choice. Like others have said after 9 months of waiting I'm more flexible. I do like the picture of under the truck with no rear shock absorbers hanging down waiting to get hit like F150 and Silverados have. Seems there is something about in the middle of the truck that is the lowest point besides differential. I'll check that out and see if there is a skid plate for that. We're not into what most people in Idaho would consider real off road, but some ability to down two track roads would be helpful.

Wondering what you think about the step up into the truck without running boards. I'd like to not get running boards as both my wife and I are on the taller side and running boards is just another expensive thing to get hit off road.

Have a great day and thanks again for the pictures.

those are the TRD aluminum boards until I get my custom sliders/ amp step combo

Yea it has the adventure motors full lift kit on it, new shocks, springs, sway bar relocation kit, extended brake lines, new rear coils, UCA’s, etc.

It’s a sweet setup bro. I am also looking forward to the AMP Powersteps to finally come out. I was thinking of getting the Go Rhino, because they are the only ones I can find available, but they are about the same price so I might as well wait.

Heck yeah brother! I have a list of upgrades, but now that I finally have the truck I think I like it stock. Maybe wondering if the AVS Package would have been sufficient? Oh well too late now. Do you think you’ll add anything?
