2019 Tundra TSS Crew Cab with the cheap radio. I have a very distinct noise that sounds like something bouncing into the radio. The sound definitely appears to be coming from the center of the dash. When I hit a sharp bump it's a pretty loud noise. Here's the weird thing, when the cab warms up it seems to go away. Anybody every encounter this? Anybody have a guess to what the culprit would be?? TIA

Yeah pry it up with a trim tool or flathead. Remove the speaker (2 screws and unplug it from the harness).

Also, maybe check to see if one of the radio surround screws has worked it’s way loose. There are 4 surrounding the radio and there is enough room in there if one fell out for it to roll around.

I checked the four 10 mm screws yesterday, they were tight. I will check underneath the speaker tomorrow. I appreciate everyone’s help.

I have a similar issue but mine definitely seems to be more towards that center speaker grill. Only appears when temps drop below 40 degrees. I would describe mine as more of a creaking sound. I’m going to pry mine up when temps drop.

found this thread which sounds more like mine.

Thanks for sharing the picture of the dash totally disassembled. At least there's not but 7046 different places for the rattle to be. I'm sure I will find it................NOT!!!

Not that I think it would be it as your description of the sound is a bit different than what I was experiencing in a previous truck, but...I chased a noise for a while that I was sure was coming from the dash, around the glove box area and it ended up being my sunglasses in the overhead compartment. In a million years I would never have guessed it was the cause. After someone suggested it to me on a forum, I gave him some smart ass answer and ended up writing what amounted to an apology post after he proved to be right. Anyway, just a thought as the noises travel in weird ways inside the cab area.

I found the old post, it was actually in my 2020 Charger. This was my original post and then the "results" are below: "Sounds like a vent door for defroster or dash ducts is just hanging and it flops one way or the other when I accelerate or brake or even sometimes on turns. Annoying but not enough that I want warranty tearing my dash apart to go look for it"

Okay, i found two ways to fix this noise. The first involves all the steps below:
    1. whine about it
    2. search internet
    3. ask guys/gals on forum
    4. check stuff they recommend based on your observation
    5. stumble across post where guy can't believe his sunglasses in overhead sunglass bin were making noise
    6. scoff at guy in #5 for being a jackass
    7. search around some more
    8. curse at noise
    9. remove sunglasses in order to shield eyes from sun
    10. realize noise is now gone
    11. drive around for 1/2 hour trying to recreate noise while sunglasses on face
    12. fail to recreate noise
    13. apologize in mind for calling guy from #5 a jackass
    14. spend an hour deciding if want to tell forum that you are a jackass
    15. post the above
or, option two: remove sunglasses from overhead bin even though it is still hard to believe they could have been making noise that for all the world seemed to be coming from right behind glove box
