Right. I was just sayin I put a shell from an '07 F150(same size bed as 97-03) on my '00 tundra and it was several inches too long.

 

Maybe it's cracking from your bolts being too tight

will a bad cv axle cause my tires to wear funny on the outside edges? Noticed I’ve got some funny wear on the passenger side and that cv is looking rough

 

I would not think so. CV axle shaft rides inside the wheel bearing. Alignment or worn suspension components are the most likely culprits.

 

It ain't the most miles, but I'm adding em up. Slowly but surely.
