This year my son is doing Thanksgiving at his chick's parents house so we accepted an invite to my buddy's house, I told him we would bring the dessert.
My wife and I debated if I should pick it up Monday or wait until today so the pie would be fresher. I wanted to get it out of the way, so I braved the madness that was Costco on Monday. It was crazy but they had literally pallets of fresh baked pies.
Good thing I went when I did, I saw on the news this morning that there is now an hour + wait at Costco for pie and some assholes are buying a shit load and selling them in the parking lot for a markup.

I feel like I might have pies covered for life.
The realtor I used to sell a house, every year does a pie giveaway from Mona’s danish bakery! And we get the choice of apple or pumpkin, I always choose apple

Apple pie is the best pie. Pecan is a very close second which is closely followed by key lime.

    Pumpkin pie can fuck off.

Agreed, my bro in law used to work at a steak house but on the weekend they pulled him to bake pies, he does little twists to make classics phenomenal, so his pecan pie is usually really really good; he’s also gone to far and it’s been not so good a time or two! But usually for my bday, he makes me a pecan pie, I’ll tare that shit up!
    But yes, phuk pumpkin pie!

Berry pies are best. Key lime second.

So summer camping trips to pagosa springs, we would pick wild rasp and black berries along the road sides in the mountains, my grandpas girl friend Janey would make some tasty tasty pies back at camp with all of them!!!

So I think that’s why I “liked” it as a kid, I’d get it every time we went to Furrs, but at some point in my life it clicked that it was actually just a coverup for a terrible pie

I bought a pumpkin because it's traditional and a pecan. Damn things are huge (TWSS), about 8 lbs of pie total. I don't even want to guess how many calories between the both of them.

Oooh, a pie poll. Maybe I can bring the debate back up about whether people call them pecans like they're supposed to, or pee cans, the wrong way.:santa2:

I can't hate a pie. Maybe a cow pie. Pecan, pumpkin (like my grandmother made, not some shitty store bought goo), and Key Lime was a great call. All great. Mrs. Smith's Apple Pie with Blue Bell Natural Vanilla Bean Ice Cream might be my death row last meal. There will be a maple, bacon, bourbon pecan pie in the oven later today.

Being gluten free sucks ass, but I can still make them at home GF.

Good pie doesn't require a fuck load of whipped topping or ice cream. A little bit can enhance a good pie though.
