Yeah…as mentioned above anything +12 and less you will start to get really pokey.

Those Volks are super strong and super light (hence) the price so if you can live with the offset then get ‘em.

Do me a favor though please…get some center caps for them will ya…they just look unfinished to me without them (my personal opinion).

First time poster long time follower. I apologize in advance for my stupidity up front. I have always love the look but have never jump into this until now. I have always been a GM guy but can't do the tranny's and engine issues any longer!!!!

Just ordered my new 2023 Tundra Limited w/ the TRD off road package. I am trying to duplicate the truck the owner had on the lot which has 35 x 12.5 x 20 Nitto Grappler MT. I have been told that the stock rim is an 8", given that fact these tires are those 8" rims. I was told that for me to go to a 9" rim I would have to go aftermarket.
First question, is it possible for these tires to fit on this truck w/o a lift kit?
    If not, would I need a 4" or a 6" lift?

What you have here, 295/60/20 equates to 1" smaller and roughly 1" narrower than what I have listed above.
    1) Do you have these on the stock 8" rim?
    2) I was looking at the 285/60/20 Nitto Trail Grappler and was told I would probably need a 2.5/3" leveling kit. Would say tell me that is false?

Again please forgive my ignorance, I just have never been down this path. Which I am extremely excited about just need to get educated between now and May/June when my truck arrives.

    Thank you

I have a '22 Limited with off-road package. The limited TRD off-road wheels have a high offset (I think +60). If you want to fit 35/12.5/20 on the stock TRD wheels, you'll most likely need a wheel spacer or the tires will rub the UCAs. You'll also need at least a level kit to avoid minor rubbing at full lock.

Instead of going with 35/12.5/20s, I put 295/60/20 on my stock TRD wheels. I have no leveling or lift kit. There is no rub at all. The 285/60/20 will fit as well.

You could probably get away without it. You would just need to remove the mudflap.

Nitto also has a 35 x 11.5 Recon Grappler that will fit on you 20” wheel that gives you a skinny 35…so no need for spacers (though you may still need a leveling kit)

I have +20 offset wheels but I didn't go with the tires you want. The tires I have are 275/60R20 Goodyear. But you can get an idea of the poke. And the wheels are 20x9.20221009_104139.jpg 20221009_104113.jpg

Cool! Thanks man! Yeah that looks perfect. As long as the threads stay under or inside of the fender, here in Hawaii it'll pass safety check. The sidewalls no matter. I'm much more confident in my choice now. Thanks!

the 295/60/20 are basically 34"s, shouldn't have any poke either, did you post pics anywhere?

On my Pro today I installed a Westcott lift, Nitto Recon’s and 1” Bora spacers today. I went to get an alignment at Town Fair Tire and they said their machine wouldn’t give them spec’s, so they told me to take it somewhere else. Anyone else have this issue?

Try to go somewhere with Hunter alignment machines. They should have the alignment specs via software by now. Please post pics of your setup too.

K&N air filter. Front windows tint, RC front leveling kit.
I took my truck to my local Toyota dealer for alignment after installing 1.75" RC leveling kit, they told me that they only have specs for stock hight, as for this new truck they measuring four diferent point to make an alignment, so they said will do our best to alight your wheels. I not sure if this is only trucks that have AVS or all of them.

Hey guys new to the group. I'm wondering if any of you needed to put longer wheel studs in for your wheels.

I'm looking to get the exact same tire, did you need a lift or level or is there no rub on stock? Also what psi are you running on these? THanks!

I tried going to my Toyota dealer and they denied the work since I have a lift. I wasn’t happy about that. I ended up going to another Town Fair Tire and I worked with their alignment guy to get it right.

I’m not confident it’s right. The adjusters on the LCA’s are not the same or even close. It’s drivable now at least. I’ll probably bring it to another shop for them to take another look.

I didn't but the guys that installed my wheels felt like the studs were short and stated that the studs only made it about half way through the lugs so I was wondering if this is an issue, do I need to get longer studs or do I just need a different type of lug?

Yes I did also. My lift installer could not do the alignment because of the same issue. I took it to the Toyota dealership and they did it no problem.

Replaced the OE Falken Wildpeaks with same tire in 285/75/18. Definitely feel the difference going from the P-rated to LT tire, but traction is significantly enhanced… especially on snow. Just did a ~400mi trip and calculated mileage was around 15 MPG.

Just want to say thanks for posting a great tool to use! Had never seen this type of visualizer before.
I’m switching to 37s from the OEM TRD offroad setup.
