Bad luck

So I've already had an issue with my vvti gear and had that fixed through toyota. I already had my wheels/tires in order when that happened so now I've had them put on with my leveling kit for a local shop. After initial install ride was great but would pull to the left when you let go of the steering wheel. I took it back to the same place a few days later to have corrected and now it doesn't pull but the steering wheel seems to have play and will shake after hitting some bumps. Not very confident in their alignment skills... gonna see if I can get my money back for the alignment to take it straight to toyota to get aligned. I guess that's what I get for wanting my truck to look like my truck.

 

I don't have the 2nd sheet as they came and picked my truck up and then dropped it back off. I can look for the first sheet. Everything from the first alignment was in the green. Let me get it from my truck

Actually, that's not too bad. It could use a little more caster and, generally, you should have more caster on the right.

How much lift do you have on the front?

 

It's just a leveling kit. But those are the specs from the initial alignment.

 

well... 'leveling kits' can lift the front end to varying heights. the higher you go, the harder it is going to be to get a good alignment. I was asking to see if you might be high enough to need aftermarket UCA's. From those specs, I am guessing you have about 2.0-2.25" of lift? at 2.5-3.0" of lift, you are generally going to need aftermarket UCA's to get a proper alignment.

I would not go to the dealer for an alignment on a truck that has a lift. they will generally align it to 'specs', but not to what it should be with a lift. I would search for a shop that has experience with lifting trucks.

Thank you for the help. I believe I was a little extra paranoid just because I've never bought a brand new truck and the price tag is a pretty penny. The shop I bought the tires at has a "traditional" wheel balancer. I took my truck to Les Schwab to have them check it out and they have the road force balancer. All my tires were way off. Front two were each off by 2oz and tears were off by 3oz on one and 1.5oz on the other. Truck is riding like it should. These tires don't ride as smooth as the stock Michelin but still have a pretty nice ride.
