3” rough country lift, 20” fuel rims, 33” general tires
I recently needed new struts but instead of replacing the oem struts and the leveling kit I hat, I had the rough country 3” kit installed with new UCA’s and diff drop etc. since the install, there has been a rotational hum and vibration from 35 and up that gets louder as u go faster. I replaced my tires as I thought that was the cause. The noise is tracking to the center front. The noise goes away when loading the right side so I assumed hub bearing. I replaced the hub bearing and the same noise and vibration persists. The shop that installed the lift has torn it apart and cannot find the cause. I thought the cv axles even with the diff drop were at steep angle but the shop says they are fine and the diff drop puts the truck in good geometry. Any help would be great.

Maybe the drivers side differential needle bearing. It may have been worn already and just became more noticeable after the recent lift. East Coast Gear Supply makes a bushing to solve this problem. Put it in 4H and if the noise stops, this is most likely the problem.

Does the noise go away when you put the truck in 4WD?
