Yeah, first I have heard of a shock extender.

What are you trying to do? Have you lifted the rear and your current shocks no longer handle the range so you are wanting an extender? If this, you can normally get some rear shocks that are built for your lift height for a few hundred and they will perform better than a stock shock with an extender (if they make those, I'm now curious).

100% agree, I seen funny stuff replacing dealer installed lift kits with a quality aftermarket shock over the years. And this is one of their cheap profit turning tricks

I’ve seen these before; I, too, dislike them and recommend a new shock with extended length.

Timbren makes spacers/extenders but idk if they are universal or only work with their bump stops.

Those are old tech, I remember seeing them as a 16 year old kid in the JC whitney catalog.

Skip them, nothing but problems. If you need a longer shock due to lifting the rear, there are plenty of decent options for little $.

    Alot of them
Me personally I would never trust a $25 shock extender much less put weight on it.

I believe I have a brand new set of those from a lift kit I installed. I didn't use them nor will I comment on their functionality but if you want them, they're yours for shipping cost.

Not saying I would run them, but Cruz runs shock extensions and he knocks his truck around harder than just about anyone else on this forum. Just something to think about. His also extend from the bottom I believe..

He doesn’t run them as extensions, its a bracket to convert from a oe post mount to an eye. The bracket holding the weight is against the OE location flat on flat. I would bet that is infinitely stronger than a long screw on extension

PRP makes a set for about $20. The world won't stop turning if a shock breaks loose either. Guess it simply depends on how much you like to gamble.Screenshot_20221122-125726.jpg
