2019 Tundra with dual climate control. There are 4 vents across the dash. Only the furthest vent on the driver's side gets hot. The drivers side floor is warm but passenger is cold. When in defrost, driver's side gets warm -- passenger does not.

The dealerships by me are the biggest crooks going so I want to avoid that at all cost. Any suggestions?

Is that a ridiculous price? They said they need to rip the dash off to do the repair, but that seems like a lot of money.

Is it all labor and do they have to pull the dash off?

That's way too much. Coworker bought his box for his 07. Tried to do it himself but gave up. The Yota dealer installed his for around $1500. The box isn't cheap but not $2700! The box was less than $1K. $500 or so.

The "box" is pretty much the whole enchilada. My coworker bought his bad servo first but had a real pain aligning everything all up. Bought the box and still had issues.

Is it a common problem with Toyotas?

Not really. My coworker recently had this issue on his 15 yr old tunny. It's just a royal pain when it happens.

2019 Tundra. At 89K miles the front differential assembly went bad -- Quoted $3700 for repair. At 110K miles blend door goes bad -- $4300 for repair. $8K in repairs in 3 years -- If I didn't know better I would have thought I bought a Ford!

Definitely sucks. I'm sure you can pay a lot less for the blend door fix. Try other Yota dealers. Take your quote with you.
