I just called Tynan's Nissan and asked for Adam Tynan. He's a kid compared to my age. I told the receptionist who I was and she connected me to Adam. Adam went to college and is now being groomed to have a major part in running this family business since the Datsun days in 63. He was the one who personally signed off my paperwork. He didn't have to but my 22 Frontier was the first Nissan I've ever bought there. 5th used truck I've bought there. I won’t go into all the decent used Yota trucks I bought there. I lied. 09 Taco, 07 Tundra, 14 Tundra. Previously......2001 Ranger with the Cologne V6. Quite nice actually. Then....for a very short while....a 2010 peice of shit Sierra Texas Edition. That was a huge mistake.....

At my dealer getting my remote start activated. This 23 Midnight "SV" crew 4X4 in the showroom is $47,250... MSRP + $5995 for the KO's, tint, bedliner, RC steps, and 3" lift. I'm going to find out who did the lift.

I get that it has wheels and a lift, but that’s more expensive than my pro-4x with all the packages. Eeep.

Yep....and sold already. There were two more SV Midnight's at $41K that were on hold. Sold....
The only 23 Pro4-X was sold. I'm like WTF? These Frontier's are flying off my dealers lot. Fast. Makes sense. Current gen Taco's are simply not up to snuff...ha! BTW.....I like my remote start. All said and done....$360. Not bad for fob set and programming......and they washed it again. Heh

I very much like Nissan’s remote start. Doesn’t turn off when I open the door like my tundra did. Also turns on the heated steering wheel, defrost, and heated mirrors automatically if it’s cold outside.

I have pretty much come to terms that I won't be buying anymore new vehicles. These new vehicles are simply not worth what they are asking for them IMO, plus they pretty much pricing themselves out of a comfortable reach for me. It was a good run though.

This Frontier is my first new truck in quite some time. I decided it was time to buy new. I think Chevy has a Colorado ZR1 coming out that is close to $60K! The Frontier isn't cheap but is still the best value for what you get compared to the competition. Nissan should be definitely pleased with the new gen Frontier sales so far.

I had the tcm flash done today. Did you notice any difference in shifting? Mine seems noticeably different across the lowest gears, in a good way. Less jerky.

I got the same response too. I think Nissan engineers got the tweak right this go around. I'm quite pleased.

Glad to hear your experience mirrors mine.

I have one last annoyance I’m trying to chase down. Whenever I start up the truck, my iPhone is connected via Bluetooth and I turn on the radio, then within 2-10 mins of driving the screen says my phone is calling myself, which mutes the music. I can’t hang up, but I can pass the call back to the phone, which then lets music play again. Nissan says no idea. My phone doesn’t display anything when this happens. Super weird.

Here’s a old pic I found of my frontier. Solid truck. Wish I never sold it.

Weird. Definitely a glich of some sort. My Samsung phone doesn't do that on Android Auto.

I’m pretty sure it’s a microphone permissions thing with a third party app. I turned off mic permissions on all installed apps and the problem has gone away, so far.

It’s not Apple CarPlay related, I don’t have the phone plugged in via USB. Bluetooth only.

@Willard make sure Ios updated to latest and firmware up to date on truck head unit. Apple CarPLay does weird stuff sometimes.
Try the same with an apple wire / usb cable instead of bluetooth to see if that helps.

I did ask the service manager if there was an update for the head unit - they checked and mine already has the latest. Also using latest iOS. The 22 frontier doesn’t support wireless CarPlay.

That's pretty bad ass. I've been waiting for the NISMO suspension to hit my dealer. Supposedly some Frontier variants will be coming out.

The Pro4X is basically the same as a TRD Offroad. A Pro4X with the NISMO setup will put it on par with the Taco TRD Pro and beyond....

There’s a great thread on cf where a guy is doing a vk (titan v8) swap on an older frontier. There’s definitely enough room, as evidenced by the sema v8 Frontier and people doing vk swaps on older ones.

If they released a nismo model based on the sema Frontier it would put it well beyond a taco trd pro. More like the braptor, potentially.

The new Frontier is selling like hotcakes. There was a recent FOURWHEELER issue that showed two highly potential Frontier offroad trims coming out. I'm not including the SV only Midnight out now. I want the NISMO front coilovers and rear shocks. My dealer will call me when available. Won't be cheap. New UCA's will most likely be needed.

I put a HikeIt on but rarely ever use it. Throttle mapping is great. 310 hp is super great. My Fronty hauls ass for a small midsize.

Tynan's has a fairly new dealership in Ft Collins compared to their Aurora dealership. Most of their S's are literally $1 under MSRP. All their SV's are almost a grand over MSRP! I was too scared to check Pro4-X pricing. Ft Collins is nice. Always in the top 4 cities to live in the country. Lots of high tech jobs with high tech $$$ to be thrown around. Better to buy at Tynan's here in Aurora. Nothing is over MSRP including Pro4-X's. Tynan's in Aurora is celebrating their 60 year anniversary now with Black Friday sales. Worth the drive.
