The only ones that I am aware of that are available any time soon for the 2022 or 2023 are the Go Rhino E1 boards. Cost with discount is about $1,575. Install is about three hours according to the shop I talked to. I ordered three weeks ago and was given a ship date of 12/16. Eventually Amp and Aries Drop Steps will be available but Aries told me they are at least two months away from having the right design mounting brackets. Amp told me they do not have a timeline for availability other than 2023.

Can power running boards be installed on Limited and below trims?

I believe the Rhino can because they use the magnet sensor for the door but it’s probably best to talk to them.

I have the Go Rhino E1 boards installed. Installation was a pain, mostly because the wiring is designed for non-hybrids and the instructions are for non-hybrids and, I have a hybrid. I got it done though and it worked out really well. And because I am stupidly methodical and a perfectionist, it took me six hours to install.

The E1 boards are great. They are robust, having three linkages and two motors on each side. The only thing I don't like is the lame on/off switch. I am trying to make them work with an OEM auto step switch but, so far it looks like it will be difficult.

Nice post. What switch are you using for now and where did you put it? Also any chance of a vid and/or measurements from the ground to the deployed step? Want to make sure my 94 year old dad will be able to step up and get in to ride shotgun with me.

The switch I am using now is the one that comes with the E1 boards. It is a simple on/off switch that has foam tape on the back so you can stick it wherever you want. The wires that go to the switch are a bit short though. If the steps are installed on a non-hybrid, according to the instructions, the switch would probably be limited to the console area. Since I installed them on a hybrid, I had to flip the wiring harness left to right and, on the passenger slide, front to back. Because of this, I was able to run the switch up the drivers side to where the switches/buttons are to the left of the steering wheel. I have not tapped it anywhere yet and hoping to avoid that. It is only two wires so I'm sure you could cut and extend the wires to whatever length you need. I bought the OEM switch that is used when you get the power steps as an option and hope to use it installed in the dash just like the other switches. Not sure if it will work yet.

I am out of town and cannot provide any video or measurements at the moment. I will do my best to post something by the end of this weekend.

Did you take pictures or video of your installation? I have a non-hybrid limited crewmax and im interested in getting these power boards.

From the ground to the top of the step in the front measures 14.25" and in the back 14.75". I measured the areas that would be stepped on, not the very front or back.

I have not taken any pictures or video but, on the Go Rhino website, they have pics and a vid of them on the Tundra.
