    Imperial Jade Metallic I think.

A quick glimpse of how fast lake effect snow can come on. Sometimes you don't realize you're going too fast until you're already in it.

555 LBJs are not good compared to oem... theyre the ones that were recalled from moog. moog used 555 as a supplier

sadly i've yet to find a aftermarket as good as toyota unless it has a uniball.. (total chaos)

have you seen the XRF's? I hunted for better than OEM and that's what I found. I unfortunately didn't take pics, but set them side by side, and they were beefier for sure. They also have a thicker rubber boot, the ball is sealed in so no need for a zerk, And they carry a million mile warranty. I've been running them for nearly 2 years, about 40k miles, and a bunch of 'beyond typical' abuse, and zero problems thus far. Still have all 8 bolts and recently checked torque on them and all still tight.

I have not. Honestly never seen a reason to choose anything else. My tundra had 190k on the set I replaced. Still tight when I got them off. Even after the rollover bending the control arm.

Understood, but I’ve seen many cases of the OEM failing, that’s why I went lookin for something better. Also, I was so impressed with the quality that I bought their tie rod ends as well and have about a year and a half on them. And they are also beefier than OEM. :notsure:

It’s a curious case the failing of LBJs across the Tacoma and tundra. Even the oems failing.. I’ve personally never had one fail. Hell I had 276k on the originals of my 01 Tacoma that had been running mid travel for ~170k miles at that point. It survived me doing stupid teenager shit at the sand dunes many times lol

For the truck I plan on abusing, I’ll be running total chaos uniball lowers. Im sold on those. Past that I’d be trying to retrofit 2nd gen Tacoma suspension on these trucks. The ball joint design is much better

8 years at the dealer I’ve only ever had one oem LBJ come in failed. And it was a 310k mile double cab tundra
Quite a few aftermarket failures. But those are always moogs or mevotechs

Wait… TC makes an LBJ for our trucks? Works with stock LCA’s and spindles?

1st gen tacos as of now. My 1995 Tacoma will be getting the offroad treatment.
I rekon tundras kit will not be far behind. TC is also doing stock length arms for the 1st gen tacos. That one I doubt we’ll see on the tundra

We’ve got the solo’s at least. Well I don’t. I figure if I’m going to replace my LCA’s, might as well go LT. or any other excuse really.. haha

14k and 3 years later my Napa lowers are still holding up on the tundra. When they go I’ll probably got solo. I just need to make some steering stops for the rack running them to avoid the potential over travel and running of my frame!

you could get some octane boost in a can at the autoparts store - throw in a little extra fire to that old gas.

I was going to recommend lightly sanding and painting it. I did that to mine and looked new again.

I have some Suspension Maxx end links to get installed. Thought I remember somebody linking a wrench that works well for it. Ring a bell?

14K in 3 years?! Holy shite man. I think that might be borderline neglect.....

Yup! All my other 14mm wrenches were too thick to get in there.

A small crescent wrench would probably work if they’re like the regular suspension links. I know I’ve used one on my Moog aftermarket ones.

Different design than OEM. I tried everything in my toolbox I could think of, but you can't really get a grip with anything that's thick. My stubby crescent wrenches were still too big.

Yeah, that’s definitely an unusual spot to tighten it from below where it’s partially covered. I can see the dilemma.
