Constantly getting what the dealer described as (normal) noise from the bed portion over pot holes and bumps ( more like a “thud” to me) — anything I can do to get rid of it?

    Any pointers appreciated!

    Thanks,
    T

After much searching, weeping and wailing, I discovered the bed bolts were looser than they should've been. Re-torqued 'em and no more "thunk!"

The bolts you see on top of the bed.

I was just going to say, I had the exact issue, even ONE loose bed bolt can cause this. And it was driving me crazy.

I hate scumbag dealers whose answer is always "oh that's normal" when in reality they have no clue.

Hey, it IS normal to have noises when the bed bolts or other things are loose.

Had all bolts tightened on / under bed…still getting noise!

    Predator steps?
    Rail gate remote locks?
    Anything in rear fenders?

Could it be driveline noise since your hitting bumps? It wouldn't be too surprising. Hitting a hole while even at low speeds is pretty jarring

Not sure, is that a normal noise? Noise I am getting is more a thudding noise springing back and forth a couple of times…

Have you checked your driveshaft and slip yoke?
