I need some help. I have developed an intermitten clunk on the front end after I redid my lift. The cluck happens when going in reverse and turning the steering wheel to the right. I have also been able to replicate it when backing up slowly and braking quickly, as well as going forward slowly and braking quickly also. It appears to happen when there is a shuft in weight either front to back or vice-versa.

Previously I had the bilsteins set at the middle setting with 2 coachbuilder shims for a total of 2.5" lift. Never had a clunk. Now I have the bilsteins on the top setting with one shim for a 3" lift. I also added SPC UCAs and a front diff drop and have the clunk.

I had the shop check all bolts and they assured me they are tight. One of the diff drop bolts was a little loose and I tightened it, but the clunk was still there. I'm thinking its either sway bar or lca bushings, but my trucj only has 1800 miles.

Try installing a sway bar drop kit. They're cheap on Amazon and easy to install. I had the same issue with my truck after a 6112/5160 w +3 CB shackle lift and it seams to have cleared up the isssue.

Make sure your a arm adjustment cam bolts are tight. Sorry I can't remember the name right now. I think I remember they're supposed to be like 150 to 200 pounds. Hopefully someone can correct me.

If you put any kind of block on the rear and the bolts are the slightest bit loose they will cause a clunk when changing direction

I have a clunk at random times and I think its my ball joints. I too have SPC uppers. Will report back once I put the new ball joints in.

    Some suspension tweaks
My `14 with the 7" ProComp lift would occasionally make a hell of a bang after turning the wheel while stopped and then moving again- as in a parking lot or backing in my driveway. It was like something bound up under tension unloaded once the tires rolled free.
The first time the shop looked at it they told me the adjustment cams were 180 degrees out. Correcting that and redoing the alignment was good for about two or three months. After casually driving down a deeply rutted dirt road the clunk was back. The shop looked at it again for two and a half hours and came back scratching their heads, even after calling ProComp.
I got tired of the noise and no solution and traded that truck unresolved.

I thought this was only me. If I'm at full lock and hit take a turn I get a pop too. I always thought it was just where I had my wheel turned too tight. Had the truck three years and have noticed it but 2-3 times in the past six months. Commenting for more info :D

Havent had a chance to look at it but the only other thing I had changed was SPC arms and diff drop kit. I will post update later.

Mine had less than 500 miles on them. They came out with a 2.0 ball joint that mine did not have. I had the old style ball joint (1.0) and it was apparently problematic.

David from @ToyTec Lifts hooked me up with the new ones.

Well, it appears the clunk disappeared after I added a sway bar drop kit. I no longer have any clunking noises when reversing out of a parking spot. Hopefully the clunk does not return. I will update in the future.

Sway bar kit was not the answer, torqueing down the LCA was the real answer.
