MD springs. How are the heavy duty ones you got? Did they settle at all?

Nice. They did settle, I haven’t measured again nor have I filled the tank to the tippy top, but they handle soooo much better than my old oems with 160k on their shoulders

Love to hear it. Ya I’m 175k on mine with a topper plus about an extra 100lbs. They aren’t sagging to bad surprisingly but are definitely on there way

I’m sure it will be a huge improvement, im almost sure I was sitting below stock height, so it was a little odd to see it so high in the air, but I’ve gotten used to it and it looks the way it should when I walk out of the store and eye balling it.

When I talk to Eric at archive he said stock height from axle to frame is about 9.5”. If your below that it’s going to seem like you’re getting more lift.

Beefed Taco used to make these on Custom Tacos wayyy back when (he used a Heim though). Ive had one on my truck over a decade. Easy way to get rear brakes to grip once I ditched the bed and did cage (without moving to a manual valve in cab which I will do eventually). Has worked for me!

Damn even found a pic from him, too cold outside for me to go to Taco and snap one haha.

Well, maybe not the first, but it is all OEM except the bracket - but World's First is catchy, lol. Maybe just a coincidence or placebo, but I had to lock up to prevent a rear end this afternoon and damn the truck did it's job.

When I put the MD on I was at 9" back there. Went to 11.75. Now I'm guessing 10.50 - 11, but I should measure.

I would be curious. I’m hoping with the shell and some additional weight I will end up somewhere between 11-11.25. I think I’m hovering just over 9 now

@805Tundra I got curious as well. I'm 11.25 and 11.5, with the rear on the higher part of the driveway. The direction I'm parked in the drive makes a big difference on the fronts, not so much the back.

You’re at that now with the drop shackles? How much weight are you carrying?

i went back to OEM length after the springs broke in. Fiberglass tonneau, rack, pretty heavy rear bumper. around 400 lbs without the spare and jack up there

Fwiw, Jason says the drop shackles helped my truck. Excited to see it myself.

Ahh so those were initial numbers after install. Looking forward to getting these bad boys on but unfortunately it won’t be for awhile.

Thank you. I really love the extended box ends even though they are 72 teeth rather than the 90? teeth high dollar ones. I paid full price on my set - $100 is a steal.

GearWrench does really well on the Project Farm tests. I had to grab the ratcheting standard box ends, $2/wrench. And 61% off the impact sockets? Done.

I've got some of their ratcheting wrenches. Haven't broken one yet. I also like Metabo and Neiko stuff.

I currently have the SAE and Metric ratcheting, and the long box end ratcheting. I've pulled so hard on those long ones that they should break. They don't, they just flex if I don't pull straight and flex back to shape. Even the 8mm. Quite good.

I'm still losing a tiny amount of coolant. Once a year I have to add just a bit to get back to baseline. Anyone else have to do this? The last time I asked some said it's normal while others disagreed.
