THe lights are in my camper, but it comes with decent grip and then I just zip tie the battery to the bed rack. Works well, as its portable. Sorry, I will try to get pic next excursion

This is my favorite idea as it's factory + in my opinion...

    Reverse light.jpg

There is potential for light flaring on reverse camera at night...if spliced into circuit...maybe

Hidden 1200# Waren winch, Baja Desgins lights, Switch Pro switch and controller, S&B air box and in bed tool box.
Put masking tape on bumper, marked the 4 mounting hole location. Then marked outline of light housing, drilled out the corners then used small cutoff wheel. Ran wires through insolated loom to engine bay and connected to Switch Pros controller. I wanted to be able to turn on or off as needed but also use as hazards if needed.

    How effective is this?
    Is this your truck?
    I really like the idea

Not my truck @NorcalHntr but that idea is where I plan on putting mine. I remember seeing a post years ago with someone showing light output and it looked clean and clear...I've saved this photo for reference since.

Sounds good I just need extra light for launching my boat at night. I dont really care about the camera distortion. I dont really want to put holes in my metal bumper. I live near the coast and all I can see is rusting out my bumper

In my opinion, it's the most OE-style auxiliary light... one could smoke the lense too for a more inconspicuous look...

I was just looking behind the bumper and there is metal there not sure about cutting it. I have also contemplated putting lights in the plastic area on either side of the license plate. Like I circled

I did this on my Tacoma with a single Rigid Ignite. Draws so little you can tap right from the trailer plug to power on when in reverse, no relay needed. Works amazingly well, no issues with washing the camera out and you can pick spot or flood patterns.

Looks sharp! Any refraction at night with that on the backup camera? I'd assume not as it's shooting outward and not inward like the license plate lighting...?

No problems at all. Mine is the flood lense but I've seen guys run the spot with no issues either.

That is what I did after the ones I had under the bumper quit working. I wired mine to the reverse light circuit. I put leds in the taillights but they do not do a good job straight back. There is some reinforcement behind the plastic that I had to work around.

I had a rear facing KC daylighter mounted on a light bar on a F150. It was a great deterent to tailgaters at night.

I was going to cut the end caps but after looking behind them it looked like a real pain in the ass to secure the lights without taking them off. If I went that route I would probably just use some SS self tappers instead of using the fasteners that came with the lights.

Just cheap sylvania led lights. Two in the bumper and four on the headache rack.

I like that location so I dont rust out the end caps. Sometimes I launch my duck boat in saltwater. Dont need to accelerate any rust

I’m running the high output lights from VLEDS and love their output. One of my favorite mods so far!

I ended up getting a rear bumper with cut outs and added OffroadLEDBars lights. It works so far. I may stop using VLEDs. The bulbs for my cargo light keep going out. And they keep replacing it due to a defect with them. I've opened up the third brake light so much the holes for the screws are stripped and now the screws don't hold into place. Kind of POd about that. Just may go back to factory bulbs.

Holy crap! I’ve got a pair of S1 flush mounts in my rear. They’re fucking awesome.
I can’t imagine how badass those Squadrons are for backup lighting.

Well, I guess I can. I’ve got a set for fog lights.

Install pretty easy. Hardest part was getting the balls to cut the holes. Holes themselves were easy.
