You'd have some more foot room with a Double Cab.

I made an incredibly crude sleeping platform since my test run went so well last weekend while camping. I was quite comfortable and wanted a dedicated sleeping platform versus shimming my other one with totes and medical books. It should do the trick and if not, I'm not out any money and will make a nicer one out of one solid piece of plywood.

Same, I was thinking I would cut the opening a little smaller than the controller, heat gun to warm the plastic trim piece, then push the controller into the opening to give it a built in look.

And when that fails, a thin bead of black silicone should work

Nice! Is that an Evil Manufacturing unit? The antenna is for your cell range booster, yes? The threaded part ties into your cell how?

Good call! Do you know if the dimensions of the switch panel and that receptacle are close on all sides?

Depends on what you define as close.

I had measured in the summer when I had hopes to install but don't remember exact numbers. I think it was 1/4" longer for height and 1/2" for width. But either way we have to trim and there is plenty of space to center the controller without it looking crammed.

I plan on putting a moving blanket over the seat first as well as little 6"x6" plates of plywood to spread the load.

True - and a usable bed. But that crewmax for the kids and leg room is where it's at.

Never heard of this stuff. The "after" picture looks great. You just spray it everywhere? I mean you tape off important stuff, but you're basically just coating the frame/any exposed metal areas?

Yep some clean up and minor scuffing (which I didn't do here) but this product is big in the offroad/fabrication community. It lays better than anything I've used from rustoleum etc. It's anticorrosive and weldable.
