I was clipped summer 2021. It wasn't bad at all. The numbing shot hurt the most. It created a sensation that I just got kicked in the junk. It's a bit weird feeling all that going on but not feeling it. I did get a sperm granuloma https://urologyaustin.com/male-urology/sperm-granuloma/. Went away in a few weeks.

I also had to wait like 6 months before I was in the clear because my first specimen sample still showed non-motile sperm.

Had it done 7 years ago, best thing I ever did. I never wanted kids, and definitely never getting married. No worries anymore and women will never be upset that I’m wearing a condom. Most hated condoms, I think they wanted to trap me with a kid. Nope, brain always wins. Improved sex life. I’ve learned a lot from working with many miserable divorced men that pay child support, have multiple baby mommas and alimony support. Glad I learned all this at an early age.

It took ~5 years for us to have our first child, then we continued trying. After another 5 years we both decided we didn't want to have more if it meant sacrificing our health and retirement. Got fixed. Other than that day and some uncomfortable days after, neither of us notice any difference.

Wow, I missed out on the smoke effects.
I was done in the 90's, in the UK, in a tiny town hospital who used a storage room with a gurney in it, the waiting room was a larger space. Couple of Valium made for a pleasant trip, so I laughed my way through the procedure, I think they cut and tied rather than cauterized. They gave us the option of shaving ourselves before we went in or potentially having Nurse Ratched do it...

I'd have let Nurse Ratchet have a go. I'm a sadist.

Well, there was no way I was going to run the risk of some 200lb local inbred gorilla posing as woman in a nurses uniform anywhere near the family jewels. If anyone's going to be wielding a razor or scalpel in their vicinity they'd better make damn sure they've got a doctorate.

Got snipped 2 yrs ago. The recovery wasn’t bad, about 2 days of down time and soreness. Back in the game after that. The doc I went to said the don’t submit or do the act of submitting your “samples” in office but rather you take care of it at home and bring it in, within 2 hrs. They then call you back with a thumbs up or thumbs down on the count.
The nurse gave me 2 sample cups in a brown bag to take home after my appointment. I brought 1 sample cup back in the brown bag after a month and was good. I was asked to come back at the 4 month mark to do a final count. At my 4 month appointment, I didn’t have a brown bag handy to conceal my sample and I didn’t want to just stroll in to the building and office with a cup of semen. I did have a left over unused Dunken donuts coffee cup at home that the sample cup fit in nicely and used that to conceal it when I arrived. When I got to the office, I set the coffee cup down on the counter and told the nurses I was here to drop off my sample. They looked at the Dunken coffee cup and then back at me. They had a concerned look. I reached for the cup to show them but accidentally knocked it over. The nurses jumped up and gasped but then saw the sample cup inside of the coffee cup. Once they realized I wasn’t actually submitting my sample in the coffee cup, they all busted out laughing.
I’ve never looked at a Dunken coffee cup the same again.
