Limited Owners- Question about cooled seats....

Long time Tacoma owner here, upgrading to a Tundra. I live in a hot climate and one feature I feel would be very useful is the cooled seats, which only come in the Limited option pack.

Yesterday I went to test drive a limited and I was disappointed to discover that the "cooling" actually only happens on the bottom of the seat, in the area of your legs of your thighs to knees... there is no air flow on your back. Is that really correct? My observation was made in a 30 second test, and I hope I'm wrong- as thigh only seems pointless

Existing owners... does the back area of the seat have any cooling?

 

Just bought mine last week but I’ll check. I thought I remember it blowing on my back driving back from Austin.

Mine blows on my back.

 

It blows on your back, you can even hear the fan when it's maxed out.

 

Mine definitely feels like it blows on my back. I just picked it up and drove it back from getting a cat shield put on.

 

You might feel it in the legs first, but it does blow on the back and it works quite well!

 

For what its worth, Im in SC which is pretty toasty in the summer and I specifically got the limited so I could have the vented seats. Its not overwhelming but it does feel nice especially if you have thin pants on.

 

Mine blows front the seat and the back.

 

It's not the entire seat surface, but both the bottom and top have venting. The bottom under the thighs and the seat back above the lumbar section. And it doesn't blow, it sucks air through.

 

Agree with above. Yes blows cool on your back and when you use the heat settings the highest setting 3 is super hot! Even when wearing a sweatshirt.

 

That high heat setting feels good when your back is hurting. AC does blow on your back but wish it had a higher setting.
