Well, with the time that's gone by I started to think, "somethings gotta be wrong" so I texted him asking if everything is ok. He responded with some info about a major customer ordeal.

I totally get the delay. Feel bad that he's dealing with what he is, but glad it's not like a family emergency or anything.

 

Yup. Still no call back.

I know. He's super busy, so this is kinda normal. The guy is nice and all, but there are huge waits for responses. That's why I wanted the phone call. I have a couple questions that were in my last email, but they weren't answered. I'm worried that there was a misunderstanding and he has already moved the truck to another customer.

He's just super busy. I do need an answer soon, though. I've only got a couple days that I can use to pull mods. I need to know so I can plan the drive too.

 

Texted him, got my question answered, and caved. I really want the truck, so I'm headed to Texas after my next hitch.

Doubt it. It's worth the offer without them, but he's not comfortable giving it so he's asking his used car guy who isn't in until Monday. I'm tired of waiting so I said I'm buying either way. Just not a good time to trade if you want top dollar.

I'll just forgo the ceramic coating plans and put that money to the purchase. I wanted the truck but more than anything I just wanted a definite answer and that wasn't going to happen until the last minute.

Nope. He doesn't do deposits. I'm trusting him based on good guys on the forum vouching on his behalf.

I'll let him finish negotiations with 'the man's before I try and acquire his suspension.

All else fails I'm sure I can work a deal with the dealership for them after they acquire the truck. Depending how the timing of everything works out.

 

Yup. I'm stoked. I'll be checking rates with my credit union and then I'll call their finance department to see how I'm financing. I want to get as much done ahead of time so I'm in and out at the dealership. I'm going to go visit family in Houston for a day or two before I have to be back to work on the 30th.

That'd be something you'd have to work out with your inside man. I wanted to pull everything but the suspension, and I'd bring the stock stuff I have so @RobertD could swap it. I don't have the shackles or rear bump stops though.

Robert's can go in for it. I'm not mechanic enough to pull suspension stuff, so I paid a shop in Utah. They destroyed the bushings getting them off.
