in the land cruiser world, some elmer figured out what size resistor needed to get soldered where to make the drivers window auto up in addition to the factory auto down. now i'm spoiled

has anyone figure this out for 2nd gen tundras?

Nope. The last that I've read is that it necessitates having an entirely different electric regulator swapped in from a vehicle with that function coming standard. Probably prohibitively expensive unless one has a donor vehicle, or you're really quick in the Walmart parking lot.

replied in that thread too. when someone mentioned there's had auto up/down, i did a little digging and found pn 84820-0c040 for a USK56L-CRTLGA shows to be auto up/auto down. would be interesting to know if it's a plug and play or if there is any weird programming involved.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I modded my driver's side window for auto-up by adding a Modual I bought from 'The Hoffman Group' in their 'Auto-Loc' section on their website. Wires in the panel are spiderweb-thin, so it's not the easiest mod I've done.Been working fine for several years,my truck's a 2010.

Sorry for being so vague, d'oh.

If memory serves....there's a different motor and an additional ECU involved. I suspect it's in part to facilitate the ability of the more upscale trims, like the Limiteds, Sequoias, and Land Cruisers to have the ability to roll up/down open/close all the windows/sunroofs with the fob or via the driver's door lock. There are a couple of ways that the smart folks have worked around to get some of the same or similar functions, but it is definitely not just a matter of changing out the switch in the door panel with one from a vehicle that had these functions from the factory. Sorry I don't have the fine details on how to go about doing the mod, I have a Regular Cab and it's my first vehicle with power windows and A/C, so I've been content with what I have. :)

My Corolla S has the auto up. Maybe I can rob it all out of it and through it in the Tundra??

So, this is not the simple plug and play that the description says? Do you have more details on what you did to make it work.... Very interested in doing this

Not "plug&play" but it isn't very tough. Toyota's 'spiderweb-thin', wires don't make it any easier. I brought my 12 volts from the battery, instead of looking for one like the instructions say.
