I just turned 30,000 miles on my 2020 limited DC. I drive a mix of curvy mountain two lane highway, gravel roads and some forestry service roads. I've recently been getting flats from stone cuts. My tire shop guy told me the tire was not fixable and showed me the many leaks around the plug I had put in to get me home. He also told me that as the other tires wear, they probably will have similar issues. He happened to have another Michelin tire that was the same model and size. I bought it for $20 and put it on. So now I am thinking of replacing all my tires so I don't have any other problems. I am leaning towards a set of LT tires. I've had Falken Wildpeaks in the past and liked them. Any tires I get I would like to step up to a 275/70/R18 just for appearance. My Tire guy said I would be wasting $$ on LT rated tires. He suggested Nexen Roadian ATX in a P rated 4 ply tire. I'm a bit gun shy on keeping with a P rated tire after this experience? What do you guys suggest?

If you are regularly on gravel and forest service roads, the LT’s would be worth the money.

Yes I would definitely upgrade if it were me, maybe look into an AT... although I hate KO2s for mud, the side wall strength on the tire is very good, I've gone through two sets and never once did I need to patch or plug them

If you do a lot of gravel and fire roads you should go with LT tires.
