Looking for some new tennis shoes and curious what everyone out there wears. I've only worn UA the past few years, but lately they seem to wear down pretty fast. The soles start to go thin and don't offer as much support.

I dont really care for Nike, so wanting to see if there is something else out there that I'm missing out on.

What type of shoe are you looking for? Running, trail running, etc. as there are tons of options out there. I have Solomon trail runners, UA and use Saucony for actual running. Once I beat them up they become my yard work shoes.

Even though I'm getting old I still wear skate shoes. I see people wearing running type shoes and I just can't get into it. I wear Adidas, vans, DC and at work I wear Red Wing. Every time I go to buy shoes I always entertain something more comfortable. But I just can't get myself to do it. It's just not my style. But they look really damn comfortable LOL

If you're looking for a running shoe I can't help you with a recommendation but I do walk quickly with my Brooks on as I head to the restroom in the mall.

Mostly just everyday use. Running? HAHA.. What is that.

Want something with good sole support, so probably more of the off-roading application. Ha

LOL I could have done that. Thought you would reply as to what makes em good in your opinion above all other shoes you've worn.

Gonna have to check them out. I wear Saucony for the same reason. Got tested at a running store and due to the pronation of my feets, they recommended the Omni 12 I wear now.

Plenty planned thanks to all of you.
I couldn't agree with you more on the Altra's. Great trail running shoes across the board. My go-to road shoes anymore are the Skechers GoMeb Razor's (yeah I said Skechers and they're amazing). Otherwise, I was formerly a NB and Saucony guy. For casual wear I have a pair of Brooks Revel which I got for free (I'm a shoe tester for Runner's World) they're OK for running but plenty comfy for general wear.

Yeah. 4 times per year we get to test a new pair. Some are really good, some not so much, but it's fun to get to try out stuff I wouldn't normally consider.

dang.. lots of great options. Guess my problem is I shouldn't go so cheap on my shoes. $70 is about the max, ha.

I just got a pair of DC's for like $40 from Amazon. I did the canvas shoes for awhile for like 10-20/pair but comfort wasn't their. Running/cross training shoes just don't suit me that great as an everyday shoe.
