Yup. There's one or two posts on the 1st page of 1st gen forum that reference one or more people who installed, and I know a couple are running them. One person I believe just got failed on their state inspection for having em, but maybe I'm remembering wrong. These were also a big buzz a year or three ago when first found.

I put them in my list of possibles, then promptly pulled them because you need to permanently damage the headlight housing to install them, then you also need to clock them perfectly. If you search 1st gen only for 'projector', and tell the search 'this forum only' and 'show results as threads' (check off those checkboxes) you'll find 'em.

Thanks guys...I'm not the best searcher...lol. Regarding the damaging...ie: removing the reflector, mine are so yellow In need new ones anyway. The Eagle Eyes brand looks ok.

My inspection was failed because the shop person was a moron and had no clue how projectors work. Mine are proper projector retrofits though.

Search here isn't exactly intuitive. Takes a minute to get used to.

At least my memory isn't as far down the shitter as I thought it was :bananadance:

Only tossing it out there, but you can get the same using the standard search feature here. Just search using the lower yellow-orange box I squared off in the pic. Downside is, you don't get 1st-gen specific results, but site-wide-all-generation results.

If you go to the homepage of the 1st Gen forum, click Search, and use the red box, and make use of the 'search this (sub)forum only' and 'display results as threads' checkbox, you only get 1st Gen results, it makes for a much easier time searching w/o Google.

If you still have OEM lights, post a pic of the yellowing. They can be buffed out and may still have some life in them. The aftermarket stuff is not great. I've used DEPO and TYC brands in the past which are a couple of the better fit/finish aftermarket brands.

I frequently clean my headlight lenses. They must be yellowed on the inside

I've used a solution of 50/50 water/vinegar to rinse the inside of headlight housings. It worked well in my case.

Thanks guys... I think I'm going to keep my stockers and bulbs, get a new aftermarket replacement housing and the mini projectors. If it doesn't work out to my liking, I'll put my stockers back in because I haven't ruined them by removing the reflector.

So, now the next question....what aftermarker housings have you guys had good sucess with? There's a TON available....Thanks.

DEPO and Eagle Eyes are usually always safe bets. Headlight Depot on scAmazon usually carries both.
