Got most of it knocked out in the first 3 decades. Lot of repeats.

While I’m impressed, what on earth is there to do in the Dakotas? No major interstate runs through there to any meaningful destination, or does it?

Texas has so much variety, you could spend a lifetime there exploring variety.

I bet their food would be pretty tasty, maybe get some absinth, maybe a Sazerac. I’m not a big city big lights kinda guy, but I will indulge on food/culture if I can while I’m somewhere

I really enjoyed visiting New Orleans. We did a walking graffiti art tour which was interesting and fun. The bars and restaurants are great. I'd go back. 8 hour drive from my house.

3,000 miles off but looks worth visiting.
But I want a Tito Bandito Burrito Supreme. Might just be worth driving 3 hours for one.

I mean, if we're going to flex the international map, I can put up some competition. Working for a Swiss company for 20+ years had its advantages. I'd like to do more of Central/South America, heading back to Costa Rica next year so the kids can see what it's like.

It's not exactly a sliver of a state like TN. Californistan, Floridistan, and Texistan are virtually huge countries, leaving is like an ant trying to dig out of an antlion's pit.

The holiday inn express has a FANTASTIC presidential suite right up the road from Cadillac Ranch... We had booked a bigger suite for our last hotel on the road trip, but they were full up by the time we got there at midnight so we got a $650 room for $200.
    20220710_101558.jpg

This is only one of the rooms in that suite. 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, kitchenette thing, 3 TVs, The mirrors in the bathroom are TVs too so you can watch TV while you, and your boo soak in a double soaker tub...
Rainfall shower with body sprayers, another regular shower...

Best room we stayed in the whole time. A big ole blowout right there at the end... Shitttt we didn't wanna leave man. Then we had to drive home through Oklahoma. Fuck the toll road in OK, btw.

You know how you see those basic bitches on IG post a picture of them on a beach or something saying "Lord, take me back" with a crying emoji?

Well, this is mine. Sweet baby Jesus, take me back to them beautiful vistas, and steer me away from Oklahoma. Take me back to the redwoods, the smooth roads of NorCal, Take me back to the waterfalls of Oregon, The Aliens of Nevada, The grand ole canyon, The pacific ocean, Anywhere but Oklahoma...

Y'all made the right move. I spent about $2.5k on that trip because it wasn't planned so we were paying out the ass for hotel rooms because we were booking them the day of, and had to be pet friendly......
