Compass is not working?

lads, can I trouble you to take a look if your compass is actually working, please?

My platinum seems to always go North.. and, boy, does this cause confusion sometimes.

 

Yeah, i get that about 30% of the time, told my service manager and figure it’ll get corrected eventually, fwiw i have a platinum too. Console compass is blank, hud says north

 

Got a magnet on the dash?

 

Nope, noticed it day 1 when I was messing with the hud settings

 

Mine works fine UNLESS have have Google Maps navigating to a destination - then it shows north regardless of where the truck is pointing.

 

Same here. Compass is fine until i use google maps, then it shows north on compass. Cancel maps navigation and it returns to normal

 

well, ain't that something. I'll give it a try. that's a proper bummer, though, if that's what it is. mine is always is android auto

 

Does the TRD Pro have a digital compass, I can't seem to locate it?

 

I just spent a week driving across country for 6 days and I noticed some days it worked and other days it didn't, no magnets anywhere!

 

Anyone get a resolution on this? I was on a road trip this weekend in unfamiliar territory and the compass would have been nice as it was unnerving with it not working; unable to make sure I had the GPS going to correct location. I'm in a TRD Pro so its the compass on the digital meter display behind the steering wheel.

 

Do you live way up North where grid navigation is required?

… Guess if congress doesn’t work, why should a compass.

 

Mine was stuck pointing due north for the first 2 days I had my truck ('22 Plat) but magically fixed itself after that and has been fine ever since.
