What kind of tuner/programmer are you guys running? What other mods have y'all done as well? Have the 5.7 iforce.

Any cheap mods I can do i kind of want to do a drop in filter but not sure what I can do.

I'm not thinking too much crazy mods but want some things to give me some more power. Anything advice is greatly appreciated thanks!!

Not much power you can do without a S/C, or BD Tuner that would probably be noticeable.

I have the hypertech interceptor. There is a difference, little more pop but nothing extreme. Check out the link in my sig for more mod ideas.

Go with a piggy back system and call it a day. Unichip plus piggy back wiring plus laptop and go have some curve downloading fun.

Hypertech you can get from them or Amazon.

Piggy back. System look up unichip with piggy back system. You might hold your seat at the price but worth it.

    What does the hypertech run?

If i want to hold my seat on the price of the piggy back probably won't go that route.

That's not too bad. On the hypertech are you able to load different tunes into it? Like a performance, gas saver, tow, or no?

Holy crap 1k is very steep more than I want to spend surely.

Hypertech if my memory is correct they do have tunes for it.

@Csviper has one on his I know for sure. He will be chime in soon with his take on it.

Unichip is a different beast. Your mixing apples to oranges here.

Okay that's good. I'm currently between the BD and Hypertech.

Yeah I understand, I mean I'm not trying to look for a crazy huge boost. Just wanting to have the option to put different tunes on the truck.

I see I need sleep im typing his name wrong. Ugh

Power gains I see from bd dont match the high price I will leave it there.

Hypertech imo of the two is a better choice all around.

Tell them what you want in the tune so they can point you in the right direction, and if there product can do what your requirements are. If it cant ask them what they would recommend to point you in that direction.

    Sorry out drinking with client/coworkers.
Bought the hypertech from @TruckyTruck for I believe around $250. I think new they are around $350. There are several maps to download that are matched for the brand of intake and exhaust. No fine tuning only download a already developed setting.
It adds a little spunk but not much. I'd be interested to know the difference in 0-60.

The biggest thing I noticed from the hypertech was the feeling of extra low end tq.

I don't think you can really go wrong with either one. They both can only squeeze out a little more power. But the bullydog writes code on the ecm. So, you would probably want to flash the stock program before you visit the dealer if you plan to keep your warranty. The hypertech is just plug and play. It intercepts your trucks data and adjusts it. If you need to remove it, it just unplugs.

Well there's no worries about having to go to the dealerahip, it's out of warranty anyway.

What exactly is the difference in a piggy back system versus a Hypertech?

Hypertech just forces thr ecm to do more.

As for a piggyback system its more customizable and it controls the entire engine from spark to timing to performance gains. Some go as far as injection pulse and curves that you can play with.

If you want simple set up hypertech. But if you going to boost or do some mild mods to the engine go piggyback.
