Ok. Thanks for the info. I don’t think I need it that bad. I’ll let it the way it is. Maybe sometime I can use that space for a future mod. I’m glad I joined this forum. There’s a wealth of information on here from all of you.

Got new 35x12.50r17 duratracs on yesterday. Wanted to go with a mud terrain but got hooked up with $600 off so couldn’t pass it up. They didn’t balance the best so we’ll see how that goes. Shop said to bring them back and I’ll get another set put on if balance can’t be fixed. I was surprised to see these are now 3 ply sidewall.

No worries, I'm 6'6" so I don't have a ton of issue but thinking about my wife who is a foot shorter... I'll need to double check the tension but even before I tightened it was difficult

Oil change this morning before the rain moved in. Just slightly a PITA. Apparently the filter cap drain plug was put on tighter than the filter cap itself causing the whole cap to twist off when trying to take the plug out.

Luckily I was able to minimize the mess and had to put the filter cap in a vise to get the drain plug out. On a good note, this was my first oil change using the Fumoto Valve and it was awesome.

Got a great deal on this open-box TRD skid plate from my local dealership. Won't be able to install for another couple of weeks, but just finished slapping four coats of ultra-matte black on it. My taping and spray painting skills are getting better, but still nowhere near the legend who is @BlueRibbon4x4

Adjusted my tire pressures because the temperature have dropped as we move in what passes for winter around here.
Moved the raptor lights closer together.

Nice! I love mine. They are 285/75s and have around 32k miles on them now. Still quiet. Everyone says they get super noisy, but mine haven’t yet. I religiously rotate every 3k-4k miles. Fantastic tire that sits somewhere between mud and all terrain.

Purchased the wiring and a bigger bus bar. I have to go from a 4 post to a 6 post. Also ran the power wire from the bed to the engine compartment. The panel and mount will be here tomorrow.

Installed a carven exhaust system with a resonator. Sounds great, but I don’t think the wife will like it lol.

How are the tow mirrors any problems? I have a set coming in. Just worried if they’ll vibrate on Highway speeds

Found a soft topper for my long bed for 300$. Though I haven't had it long, I am quite impressed with the quality and design of it.

Going to have to start a build thread on this truck. There is so much more I have on my list to do to it.

I'm a deer hunter so I do a lot of driving late and early morning. Moved to the country in March and needed more light on the country roadsCB8AAED1-D475-4D19-BB51-A6098CEDA17F.jpg . Added the 41 inch light bar in the hood. Get YouTube video on how to.

About to order the Method MR 305 NV rim. I can't make up my mind between the 18" / 0 offset or the 20" / +25 offset.

Ideally I'd prefer the 20" rim with the 0 offset. Anyone have similar decisions they've made in the past and which way did you go?

From many pictures I've seen, a +25 and 0 offset don't seem all that different. I'd prefer the more aggressive wider stance but don't wan them stick out more than an inch.

Finally got around to putting in some sound deadening on the back wall and floorboard since I needed to put in the JBL Sub replacement from @james@tech12volts

I could definitely tell a difference driving around town, but could tell significantly more on the highway (+50mph). Makes me want to do the rest of the floorboard now.. :angrygirl:

Sub is 1000 times better, night and day difference. As everyone else on the entire forum who’s installed that bad boy has said, that’s what should’ve come with this truck.

Personal preference. What size tire are you going with? Do you have a BMC? I think 18" wheels look so much better than 20" but once again that is personal preference.

I have 18" wheels with +12 offset (37" tires). Have about 1" of poke.

I did the doors on my DC. I have been thinking about the back wall and floor. I would just need to figure out how much material I would need.
