Even though I don't own a secondary air injection tundra I still can't keep from getting a code for it on something else. 1st time I've seen this code on my 96 Corvette. No limp mode or anything. Cleared it and hoping it doesn't come back but time will tell.

Anyone got a 1992 Blue Honda Civic Sedan? You could make some cash and your car could be famous. Or maybe not since so few people watch tv series anymore.

Personally, I’ve made a few bucks being extras in movies. However, I’ve never been in the edited result.

I was an extra in The Postman and earned some extra cash. Funny thing is, I took some of my paid leave from my job to do it, I was a mail man at the time

Has everyone done this at least once? I went to TJ to be an extra in Tim McGraw’s Refried Dreams video. In that crowd watching him perform from 2:00 on, but I’m never sure which is me. The coworker buddy that accompanied me (first we stopped somewhere for him to place a bet, I think) was over it, about 5 minutes into the experience.

    The perfect role for you!

I was an extra in Mall Cop, The Truth about Lying and The Fighter. In Mall cop, I only showed up to get my voucher in the morning and turn it in at the end of the day when shooting ended. The whole thing was such a clusterfuck that nobody found out. Also, I wasn’t the only one.

I was a dillards model, and my brother was a macy's model in the mid 90's. I dont remember anything but having to change lots of outfits and getting the chip clips to make things fit, and My brother who was 2-3ish had to go through full makeup. Guess i was already perfect.

not the same, but my 15 mins.

my moms dad is Michael schilacci, one of the drummers for mickey gilley, in urban cowboy, you can see my mom and dad cruise by in his green/ivory '56 chevy. He said they drove up & down spencer over a dozen times.

I wish they had a Dillards here. We just recently lost Filenes and select Macy stores. I don’t know of anyone that shops at Nordstrom; that place is insanely expensive including their outlet.

Many years ago my Dad ran across a '64 Rambler with only 30,000 miles on it. The body and interior were perfect, and the factory spare was still in the trunk and had never been used. He drove it a month or two and a coworker made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Shortly after the new owner took possession, a movie company advertised for older cars to be used in a movie that was being filmed locally. He jumped at the chance to make some money on the car. After a few days, filming wrapped up and he went to pick up the car. When he started it, it sounded like the anvil chorus was being performed under the hood. It seems they needed a part for one of the cameras and had handed a grip the keys to his car with the instructions to get back with the part fast or lose his job. He floored it from the film site (Somewhere around Waxahachie) to Dallas, and back again. When he complained, they referred him to the fine print clause in the contract that said he was responsible for insurance, and they weren't responsible for any damages. Their final word was "OK, sue us." He trailered the car home, I have no idea what happened to it after that.

Always read the fine print (bring a magnifying glass just in case) and never give them the keys to a pristine vehicle.

I remember years back they wanted to use my photo for the movie "The Town". At first I was excited but after reading they had full permission to use it any way they choose, my gf convinced me not to just in case I ended up as a mug shot for pediphiles.

I don't think I'd live that one down.

I'd bet he's ready for a touring or a cruiser. The twisty roads are slow and neighborhoody, and theres 50+ miles of straight & 90's.

which can be fun after a few heat laps. My favorite racetrack in clear lake was a paved neighborhood golfcourse trail, and once a week on a random day i'd run through full tilt on an '07 zx6r with a jumper mod from 11pm to 4am. I only got the one run per week and one of the trips a buddy wanted to follow, and low sided up into someones yard. I wasnt playing, i could touch 70 easy, and 100+ in several corners on 6' wide brushed cement.

Funny, just yesterday I was remembering I had been in a commercial many years back. I'd forgotten, but someone said something that brought it back. Now here's everyone's 5 minutes of fame thread. A family member has been an extra on several issues of new Hawaii 5-0.

@bmf4069 congrat's, good luck, sorry it came to that. I know the feeling. One day I was D-O-N-E with my hotrod. Done with selling it to people who couldn't come up with the cash. I donated it to a museum. I expected to be sad, honestly, I was relieved. A need, a demand - gone. Lifted. Freeing up the garage was gravy. Spare parts I couldn't fit into it, gave them away to first guy who'd come take everything. Wish i'd remembered the perfect hood blanket I have stashed behind a door. Too nice to toss, guys to far to come back just for it. Damn.

Good luck on the SHO exit ramp!
