We still need to enjoy  in this area and where I am moving "likes to have Truck/old car meets" :monocle:

I'm already in "Pre-plan mode" for things like we did back in NH.... Miracle Toyota is less than 20 minutes away.... wouldn't be the 1st time I had Taco's , 4-Runna's , Tundra's and FJ's mixed into private vehicles..:bowdown::bowdown:

If you lived up north, up is ok.....who wants to hang them when it dips down into the 20s. On before Thanksgiving is another story.

I didn't bother to take mine down in the spring but I won't plug them in until November 27th unless the wife gets antsy.

I figured out the solution to the question of when to put up/take down lights years ago.

I don't ever put up lights therefore I don't have to take them down either.

I do get that in more northern areas its easier to get lights up now before its too cold and whatnot. We are still seeing 80's here though....

Thankfully, my wife is on board with this same plan. Porch light is off for Halloween, no giant blow-up turkey in the yard for Thanksgiving, no lights (and no tree :eek2:) for Christmas. She's a practicing Catholic, so we're still hitting those holidays hard, just not with clutter.

Edit: she doesn't celebrate Halloween. Just All-Saints.

I used to decorate when my kid was young, but he's 26 now so I don't decorate shit. Besides, I'm a practicing Asshole and decorating is not part of that.

The winter rye I put down about a week and a half ago has started to come up pretty good. I saved a couple of pounds of seed, so I'll fill in the bare spots next week and should have a decent lawn.
